I joined my co-workers for a drink after work. After leaving the restaurant 45 minutes later, I discovered my car had been booted by the shady ""Parking Enforcement."" They stuck a piece of paper in my window with no specific information on it. The paper said they had ""immobilized"" my car. I had to call the number on the paper to get my car released. It was some random guy's cell phone. He pulled up in a pick up truck with nothing but a tool and a credit card machine. No uniform, no business card, no identification. He swiped my card for $50, took the boot off, and left. This is what I consider a legal form of robbery. I worked downtown for 3 years and the most I have ever paid for a parking violation is $10. I stopped for a $2 beer and wound up spending $50 for some sleaze ball to release my car. The restaurant did nothing wrong, but I will never be back. If they cared about their customers, the business owners would do something about this scam.
