You Are Ordering the Wrong Thing 11/6/2009

nbkp2y7 you are ordering the wrong stuff. Farotto's was started by the late Lou Farotto in 1957. For 23 years it was a three table take out pizza joint. The menu featured thin crust pizza, Italian roast beef sandwiches, toasted ravioli, spaghetti and meat balls or meat sauce and dinner salads. That was it. Third time's a charm? 9/14/2009

Having read the other reviews on Farotto's, I guess that I'm ordering the wrong entrees. The chicken parmesan dinner that I had last week was average, at best. What flavor the rice pilaf HAD was not good and the side veggies were sparce and tasteless. The chicken breast was okay, but with beverage/taxes/tip and after you add extra for a tiny side salad, the average tasting meal was $25. I've had way better food for less $$$. On my last visit to this restaurant, I remember leaving the restaurant underwhelmed, and then my credit card was charged twice for my dinner. Best pizza in the world 7/12/2005

I was born and raised in St. Louis 1938-1971. Every time I go back, I go to Farotto's for pizza. Unfortunately, I haven't found the equivalent in Florida, where I've lived since 1971. I still get late night cravings for Farroto's pizza to this day. Pros: The best! more

Farotto's 3/7/2004

My wife grew up in St. Louis. When visiting friends there, Farotto's is the place for pizza and toasted ravioli that cannot be found anywhere else in the country. The thin crust pizza is completely different then any Chicago, New York or thick, thin chain. Kids will love it too! The wait is worth it so don't give up your place in line. more

Best Pizza Anywhere!! 7/26/2002

Just moved back to St. Louis area and one of first places I had to go to was Farotto's because I missed their pizza's biggg time while in Texas. more
