Faith West Photography

After hearing a glowing review from a friend/happy bride, we quickly scheduled an appointment at Faith West Photography. From the first appointment, we knew that we could trust Faith West Photography to capture all the precious moments and memories of the day. We went on to meet with two additional wedding photography companies, just for the purpose of comparison, and nothing we saw even came close to the superior picture quality produced by Faith West Photography. (As an aside for interested brides: there's an awesome financial incentive for signing with FWP within 10 days of your initial meeting - so keep this in mind!) We selected Faith West as our photographer after meeting with her individually and seeing the quality of her pictures. She takes amazing pictures, and just when you think it can't get any better, she shows you how they look after she spends 10-12 hours touching them up in Photoshop! Through her photographic skill and artistry, she really made our wedding looks magazine-worthy! Her professionalism is surpassed only by her artistry. She is incredibly organized, and requests that you schedule a phone meeting to discuss the details of the wedding day months in advance. If you schedule this meeting for more than 3 months before your wedding day, you receive additional images in your album - another big incentive! During this phone meeting, you and Faith work together to create a VERY detailed schedule of the day (literally down to 15 and 30 minute intervals). This may seem a bit overwhelming at the time, but trust me when I say that it ultimately makes your life much easier! I'm a planner, and having this detailed schedule so far in advance really helped me wrap my mind around the day. It was also immensely helpful as I worked with other vendors; I knew when I needed to have my hair and make-up down, when the flowers needed to be delivered, etc. all thanks to the schedule! During this meeting you will also discuss your "must have" pictures (i.e. your family + groom, bride & groom + all siblings, whatever pictures you don't want her to miss). On our wedding day, Faith was extremely punctual (not an easy feat at 7 a.m.!) and professional. She took control, kept us on schedule, and took beautiful pictures in the process! Faith recommended taking all of our posed shots before the ceremony, and we are so glad that we took her advice! We didn't have the pressure of waiting guests, which allowed us to have fun and enjoy some "us" time before the day started to get busy. Once the wedding began, Faith was completely unobtrusive. I have heard of guests complaining about wedding photographers blocking their view or getting in their way, and I can proudly say that our guests had none of these complaints! Faith and her assistants quietly took wonderful ceremony and reception pictures, and never interfered! The pictures were mailed to us when promised, and they were just as gorgeous as we had hoped! To top it all off, we own the digital copies of each and every beautiful image (no watermark or anything), so they are ours forever to print, share, frame, etc.! This is huge and very unique! Overall, working with Faith West and her staff has been a very positive experience. We had a really great experience with Faith West photography! Faith and the all the staff were very easy to work with. Everyone is very knowledgeable and Faith helps you create a schedule for the entire day. Our photographer (Nicole) was amazing. She was very friendly and got beautiful pictures of our wedding while blending in with the day. She was very helpful when we were getting ready and always willing to lend a hand. The candid photos captured special moments from the day and our outside portraits look like they should be in the pages of a bridal magazine. We have gotten so many compliments on them! We can’t wait to get our album back! And best of all we have the rights to our photos so we can print more whenever we want! more

Photography is one of the most important parts of a wedding--it's probably the only record you'l have of all the work you put into your big day!--so definitely go with the best. As far as we're concerned, that's Faith West Photography. This studio has a bunch of photographers on staff so that you can find one who matches your style. We chose Nicole, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with! She made sure we got all the pictures we wanted (not to mention a bunch of wonderful candids of moments that we didn't even realize were happening!) without making the photography seem like a chore or an intrusion on our celebration! She was also great about working with us, whether that meant trying a shot we wanted that wasn't on our list, or blending into the crowd so that she could get candids of people who didn't even know she was there. In fact, all of the staff at Faith West Photography were great to work with! They were happy to explain everything and walk us step-by-step through the whole process from booking the vendor through ordering the albums...and ordering the albums was harder than it sounds, because all of our pictures turned out great! The quality was amazing (we're using a lot of them to decorate our place now), and the best part of all is that YOU own the copyright to them, so you can use them however you want--and you WILL want to use them, over and over again! We can, without reservation, recommend Faith West Photography and have already done so. Faith was already booked on the date of my daughter's wedding so we worked with one of her assistant's, Nicole, and she was absolutely fabulous! Not only are the pictures awesome, but Nicole was fun to work with. In fact, when it came time for her to leave the reception we were sorry to see her go. She was professional, friendly and unobtrusive. We were surprised at all the photos taken, more than 800, and despite the post below, we received all the photos on a DVD promptly. Faith's staff is responsive and friendly too. Her office manager, Lynn, is a pleasure to interact with. We interviewed many photographers before deciding on Faith West Photography. Faith, as well as her assistants, knows the importance of your wedding day and has the goal to make it as special for you as you hope. While the schedule may seem tight, keep in mind that all the planning is being done for your benefit, to obtain the pictures you want but also have the time to enjoy your wedding. This planning includes a list of the photos you want, discussed during the planning session before your wedding day. This is done to ensure that all the family and special shots you request are captured. Due to all the planning, my daughter's wedding day was not only enjoyable, but the family shots (and there were many) were done as quickly as possible. Faith West's prices are better than most for the packages offered and the quality of the photos is beyond compare. We will continue to recommend Faith West Photography to all our friends, family and co-workers with complete assurance that anyone who chooses to hire Faith West Photography will be pleased with the photos. Definitley not worth the money! Faith was very rude to myself and my guests. I actually had multiple guests come up to me to complain that she had physically moved them out of the way! Her attitude is appaling. Furthermore, once I received my pictures, we were extremely disappointed. Many of the pictures were blurry, not centered, and peoples faces were cut off! There was only one picture of myself and my mother! I agree with the other post below - she held us to very strict time constraints, however, she did not hold herself to the same standards. She took long periods of time to call me back and it took over a year for my album to arrive and when it did, my husbands name was mispelled!!! Also, I had to ask over and over again for my negatives and I STILL don't have them and its been a year and a half! She is extremely expensive and definitely not worth the money!!!!!! Amazing! Not only have I used Faith West but so have 10 couple I know personally.... how many photographers can say that. . . that is hands down a testiment to what a true referral of quality work can do for a photographer! As a photographer myself, I have the highest standards for a photographer! Faith and her team lived up to both excellent service and package options. Faith is one of the few photographers in our area that actually gives you your photos digitally and you can make prints yourself - 6 weeks after your wedding that is amazing! This was big for me being from a large family and needing lots of copies - I have a hard time justifing other photogarphers that charge $20+ a photo!! And our album was great - excellent pricing and the types of options and the upgrades are great too if you want something more fancy, all of which are comparable to other photographers for pricing!!! The schedule is like your own personal wedding planner, it makes you think and plan a head for the photos you need and when its realistic to have them done so you arent running around looking for Aunt Gertrude! Having your wedding planned ahead is priceless .... when you put on your dress, you know the rest is covered! (My sister's photographer did NOT do this and avoided the one photo we wanted me and my sister - it never happened - I guess that photographer should consider a schedule!) I hope this helps when you are evaluating your photographer - when you look back you want to know you made the right choice and we did!! This is the one area you DO NOT WANT TO SKIMP ON - with any photographer!! I have to say that I completely disagree with the previous post. I am thrilled with the results of my photographs from Faith West. The lighting and composition were incredible. The candids captured some truly special moments from the day and our outside portraits looks like they should be in the pages of a bridal magazine. I can't even narrow down the pictures I want in the album...from the 1000+ photos Faith took I have at least 400 favorites! I can't wait to see my final album! Unless you enjoy paying exorbitant amounts of money for mediocre photography I would not recommend Faith West. We selected Faith based on her proclaimed style of candid, fun and creative wedding photography. What we received were cookie cutter wedding shots poorly lit and weak in composition. At the exorbitant price Faith charges we expected to see a beautiful journal of our wedding day. Instead we have acceptable photographs. We were held to very stringent time restrictions from the time we needed to be ready on the wedding day to when our proofs needed to be submitted for the album. We followed the rules; however the same respect for our time was not returned. It has been over a year since our wedding and we still have not received our album. In addition we were charged inflated rates to crop a few photographs? and have some minor retouching of glare on glasses, etc. It was not until Faith requested final payment before the album could be delivered were we informed of the additional cost. It has been almost 14 months since our wedding and we still do not have a firm delivery date. Save your money Faith West Photography is not worth the price they charge.
