Littleton Pediatric Medical Center

Dr. Kyriazi Nicholas might be an alright doctor if your child never gets sick, however here are the problems our family has run in with him. Our wait was usually about 1 to 1.5 hours. We were always rushed and after going there for years he never really remembered me or my kids. We were in his office on average every week to every other week. Here is why. Because of the allergy history with my husband we were careful with our daughter and peanuts specifically. She had a bite once from my PB & J sandwich and turned red around her mouth. I immediately suspected an allergic reaction. I brought it up to Dr. Kyriazi Nicholas and he said it was not an allergy but rather a skin reaction and we were OK to continue giving her peanuts if we wanted to. She was later tested (a diff. pediatrician referred us) and was tested very positive for peanut allergy. We now carry EpiPen for her. Same incident happened with penicillin. She turned red and had spots around her neck and face after having an antibiotic with penicillin in it. I spoke to Dr. Kyriazi Nicholas and he said to continue giving it to her for three more days. I asked why, and he said to verify if she really has an allergy. Seriously? There is also a history of Asthma in our family so when my son caught bronchitis and started having ear infections we were worried. After about 7 ear infections in a period of 6 months (now you see why we were in his office all the time)I asked Dr. Kyriazi Nicholas if that was normal and I expressed that I was concerned. He said that kids get sick and pick things up. He always said because we have an older child that she brings things home and gets our son sick. He never suggested that was see an ENT specialist or have him tested for allergies. Needles to say we switched doctors and things are looking better. He was seen by ENT and we now go to Asthma and Allergy specialist. Had we listened to the doctor we would have been in a very bed situation. I would not suggest you see him for anything but a regular office visit. more

I take my two boys to see Dr. Gin. He is an amazing doctor. He always takes the time to hear your concerns. I went to him based on a few recommendation from friends. more

All the doctors are amazing and caring. I can always get an appointment in the office. All the doctors care about your kids. There is a negative comment on Dr. Kyrazi about how the Mom feels hurried with him. In his defense, it is almost like he is from the East Coast. I will tell you, the man knows what he is doing. He always talks to my kids, talks to me. He has 4 kids of his own. If Bublitz isn't there, we ask for him. Although, we had to go to Snelling one afternoon we thought she was wonderful. They also have their own lab, which can save a lot of time. more

I guess I expected when you go to a pediatrician's office that the people who work there would be happy to see children... in the 12 months that I attended this practice, not one of the MA's or office staff ever exuded that sentiment. Dr. Kyriazi often rushed through our appointments in an effort to "catch up" from being behind. Not the doctor to go to if you, as a mother, need that gentle reassurance that you are doing a good job or have valid concerns for your child. I'd recommend a less busy, more attentive office. more

My three kids have seen Dr. Kyriazi for over two years and we have never had an visit that did not feel rushed. I was always surprised that he never seem to recognize us from one visit to another. His "bedside manner" was to the point and average, and even my kids agreed they preferred the staff (nurses). The final straw was an incident where the entire family had the stomach flu and my 4 year old was the last to catch it. It was a Friday night during a snow storm and I called Kyriazi asking about a previously prescribed anti-nasua med(the same he had prescribed for my other child to prevent dehydration. He had a nurse call me back to say no he would not call anything in. Unfortunately without any help from our pediatrician, we ended up all driving to the hospital in a full blown blizzard to get that simple prescription to stop the vomiting. The ER even asked "why our Dr. didn't save us a trip and call it in!!!" We stayed with the practice because the hours and location are nice and the office staff is great, but will not see Kyriazi again. We have since switched to Bublitz and are really pleased. The kids enjoy her caring demeanor and she takes the time to fully explain a diagnosis to me. Just wish I would of done a little more research when we first moved to Denver to find her! I am used to high volume practices.. just a little surprised at how much the Dr.s attitude and attentive nature matters! more

Dr. Snelling is an amazing doctor who takes the time to get to know her patients and their parents. My average appointment with her is around 25-30 minutes. She allows me ask all my questions, even the stupid the ones. I would strongly recommend Dr. Snelling to any first time parent who like me had no clue how to care for an infant. more

We love Dr Gin from Littleton Pediatrics Medical Center. My children have been going to him over seven years. His is very caring and my children think he is wonderful. We highly recommend him to all of our friends. He is top notch! Anita M. more

I love this practice, they have always taken great care of my children. All of the doctors are wonderful but Dr Nicholas Kyriazi is our favorite pediatrician. My boys absolutely adore him. His bedside manner is excellent and because of this my kids are very comfortable with him. more

I took my daughter today since my original pediatrician was out of town.He asked me a million questions why I chose him.I felt that he didn't examine her well.He didn't bother to explain me whats wrong with her.I decided never to go to such doctors again.Probably I was misled by his excellent reviews!!! more

Excellent doctors in this practice. They have Saturday hours as well as Monday evening hours. I have always been able to get an appointment on the day I need and the rare occasion that my primary doctor is not available, the other doctors are wonderful with the children as well. Reviewing the charts so they understand the child's history. more

I've actually been going to this doctor's office for many years since I was actually a patient and now I take my four children there. We see Dr. Nicholas Kyriazi who was voted best pediatrician this year in a local paper. He is just that to us "the best!!" He is so sweet to my children and makes every effort to educate himself on any of my concerns or any new treatments for anything. I would not think of ever changing doctors when we have found the BEST!!! more
