I got my eye exam at another optician which I reallyliked just took my prescription to Eyeworks to get it filled because it is closer to my house and was that a big mistake. I went in and the staff doesn't greet you, I actually stood at the front desk until someone finally looked up from their computer and asked if they could help me and when I told them that I wanted to get my prescription filled they made me wait about 20 minutes until they could verify my insurances and then when I found some frames the girl that was helping me told me that I couldn't get these frames because my no line bifocal wouldn't fit in them. She then showed me frames that she picked out and of course they were the frames that are designer and cost an arm and a leg. basically they just want to sell you the most expensive things in the store. The Dr was really rude and doesn't smile she needs to go on a vacation or something because she was not personable at all. Stay away just a rip off!!!!!! more

Nice selection of glasses. Friendly office staff. They have your best interest at heart. more

After a recommendation from a friend, I tried Eyeworks several years ago. Dr. Mamdami is knowledgeable, thorough, and takes time to address questions and concerns during the exam. The optical shop staff is great at helping you choose just the right frames. Finally, the extended hours make it easy to schedule a convenient appointment time. I just had my 2nd annual eye examination by Dr. Mamdani and couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service I received from Dr. Mamdani and her staff. I received a top notch examination with very little waiting and a staff member was of great help to me picking out a new pair of glasses. I will definitely be a regular at Eyeworks! more

My husband and I have seen Dr. Mamdani since early 2003. Anytime we call for an appointment, we are seen within a day of the call. What I like the best is how she teaches--what is happening with my eyes, why one kind of contact would be better than another, being willing to let me try something and change it if necessary. She cares about her patients, her business (always spotless) and has high standards for her staff. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. Pros: easy to get an appointment more

I have been going to Eyeworks for three years now and have added my wife to my vision insurance so that she can use Eyeworks also because my experiences have been so positive. Based on the service and selection that they have provided me I have recommended them to two other coworkers who also now go to Eyeworks. Eyeworks employes are very helpful in answering my questions about the frames I was interested in. Doctor Mamdani was very informative about my exam telling me all of my options they could help me with at Eyeworks. I recieved my glasses today everything was perfect no problems. Although at first glance the place seems like it may be a reputable place to get glasses...the staff is hauty and not informative, the prices are outrageous and I was glad I looked them up and found that I was not the only one who was unhappy. My son and I were both seen by Dr. Mamdani. She was very informative and taught my son all the way through his eye exam. It was nice to have someone explain what all of his tests were for and not just another random machine to look through. Both of us had a good experience and will be back again. more

I have been coming to Eyeworks for about 8 years now and I have to say that it's always a great experience. The staff knows exactly what to do to prepare you for the Doctor's exam and diagnosis. The appointment has never taken longer than 30 minutes, but I never feel rushed. My prescrpiton for my contacts has been dead on and prior to using Eyeworks, I wasn't able to read a book or magazine, my contacts are perfect now with the correct prescription.. I had an excellent experience with Eyeworks. I arrived for my appointment a few minutes early-expecting to have to wait- and was pleasantly surprised to be taken back for my exam immediately. The doctor was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about me. She took her time and made sure my prescription was right. I didn't feel rushed as I have in other offices and was happy with the final product. My contacts were ordered and within two days I received a phone call that they were ready to be picked up. To make a long story short: 98% of the front desk is rude, snotty, and gossips right in front of you, and the doctor allows them to be this way. She will not take the time to call you back if you have a problem, and in her eyes you are the problem - not her staff. Don't waste your time here. The long story: The first time I went the this optometrist, she gave me the wrong prescription so I had to come back for a new exam. The girls at the front kept trying to charge me again, and then would turn their backs to me and whisper about me. They were also calling another employee stupid because she had booked my appointment wrong! This was all done in front of patients! My eyes were really dry so I was trying out different contacts. I called to communicate to the optometrist how the contacts were working, and the front desk girls said they'd have her call me. 24 hrs later - no call, so I called again. They put me on hold for 5 min. so I hung up and called back about 20 min later - they said ""oh we were in the process of looking for your chart"", then they put me on hold again to find my chart! They told me 'oasys is the contact that is best for moisture and that will work best' but I told them it did not work for me, and they responded with ""well that's the best one"". I said I'd still like the doctor's opinion and they said they'd have her call me. 24 hr later (again) - no call. So I called again and the girl at the desk said ""She's planning on calling you, but she's a very busy woman!"" (what Dr who actually cares needs 3 DAYS to call someone back?!). I had to go into the office after that and that girl kept giving me rude looks, wouldn't smile on eye contact, and wouldn't speak to me when I asked her a question! A couple of days later I called the doctor again and she actually called back! I tried to let her know how her staff is treating people, and gossiping at the front desk and she acted like I was horrible and difficult! She said she'd have the front desk manager talk to them. She also said the staff had told her that I didn't want to talk to them and only wanted to talk to her. I was more than willing to talk to them, and I did, but I still wanted to talk to my optometrist. How horrible am I if I actually want to talk to my doctor! She said ""...I don't have time to call back every patient!..."" - definitely NOT the kind of doctor I want for me or my friends and family. There are far busier doctors, in much more advanced fields who MAKE time to call back their patients - because they actually care! I would never recommend this doctor or the office because they are inconsiderate and really don't care. Pros: one or two of the front desk is actually nice or bearable Cons: everyone else is rude! more

I would never recommend taking your business here. All the doctor cares about is selling the products and making a big sale. You cannot choose what lenses and products you want, they have a package pricing that you HAVE to choose from if you want to get glasses! And they are very expensive! I wear contacts and glasses, and I paid over $800, which doesn't include my year supply of contacts. That is going to be another $240! And to top it all off, I have insurance!!! They told me if I didn't have insurance, I would have paid over $1000! The doctor/staff has attitude if you say its too expensive and they make you seem like you're cheap if you don't want to pay that much! I would NOT recommend this place!! Cons: EXPENSIVE! NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!! more
