its our 20th anniversary this year. Supporting us all these years just makes me warm inside. It might be obvious with all the vintage shops that open and closed all these years but there isnt much money in it! Your coming in and spending money... saying nice things and appreciating all these years of dedication to keeping Charleston "more interesting" is well... priceless more

I walked in there to sell her a few items I had. Since I read what they buy on their website I knew what NOT to bring. But the first words out of her mouth was,WE DONT TAKE THINGS FROM WALMART.Which I knew already.She has no person skills. And they both seem shady to me. more

Wow!!! they have everything!!!!!!!!! I am an avid ebay buyer of vintage dresses. Well i can delete my ebay account now because this store has the most amazing dresses!!!! Not only dresses but everything!! mens stuff, vintage from the 40's all the way up to the 80's. and new slightly used name brands too!!!!! The prices are beyond reasonable and the staff is awesome!!!! On top of all of that they have a piercing studio in the downtown store and another in north Charleston right up the street from the clothing store that does professional, body piercings for only $60!!!!! and that includes the jewelry and the h2ocean and after care kit. not to mention they are always willing to help you with any question or problem you may have!! I snagged my tragus ring on a shirt pretty bad. I ran down to see them and the piercer helped me out and really took her time to be sure I was ok! more

This place is so awesome, the service is good. The help is good, and the clothes rock! I love this place, esp. the Zen house next door...This place needs more employees though. I love the atmosphere. I've never felt more relaxed in a store that I was shopping in. This is on my top 5 list of places to check out, shop, or exchange clothes. Lovin' it. So go check them out. Don't be a Square! more

This shop (which opened long after my youth) is very reminessent of 'head' shops I used to frequent back in the 60's and 70's. Their selection of clothes, posters, shoes, music, inscense...everything you can imagine is GINORMOUS! Their staff is super friendly and I just cannot say enough good things about this store. Their selection is very diverse and ecclectic and it just must be seen to be believed. I highly reccomend Exchange Factor over places like Factor Five and Purple Haze. more

Well, not really Original because it didn't open until the mid 90's. HOWEVER....that being said, I suppose it's 'origial' for someone born in 1986 or later. Large selection of screen-print Tshirts which contain everything from marijuana leaves to curse words to just silly sayings that make people laugh. THey have other clothes as well and a huge selection of used clothing and shoes. They also sell (ahem) "water pipes" and likeminded paraphanelia, and they do piercings as well and sell accessories for those. They have a nice selection and it always smells like patchouli (don't stores like this always do?) The staff will be nice to you as long as you aren't a poseur, and if you have to ask yourself what a poseur is, it's guaranteed that you're not one. They're always nice to my mom, who is much older than their standard clientelle. I don't know if they're trying to make a sale, or think they're getting karma from being nice to the geriatrics (she's 49)....at any rate, this is a top-notch store to go to especially for the teenager who has everything and wants nothing to do with any of it. more
