This was the best spa experience of my entire life. I have been to Nemacolin Woodlands as well as Sewickley Spa and neither of them even compare to ESSpa. The friendliness and helpfulness of everyone there put me at ease when I received my first facial. Even the receptionists know about every single facial product! Erinn gives the most amazing facial! I would highly recommend the Oxygen facial, Hot Stone massage, Purple Mountain body wrap, and Hot Lava pedicure. Don't be a bore and go with all the traditional services; get one of their specialty facials or a hot stone massage. A European Getaway 10/6/2005

I went there for a day of beauty as a gift from my husband. Upon arriving, I was offered a glass of champagne and changed into a robe. The walls were painted in the back to resemble a piazza in Italy or somewhere. AMAZING! I began with my which was incredible. I went with Eva, who is the spa owner. She never took her hands off my body. I then went to Mary Ann for a massage. She really knows her stuff when it comes to Trigger point. I have been to sports med and ortho drs and she is better hands down. A woman named Heather did my nails. She was a pleasure to talk with and gave me an awesome french manicure and pedicure. At Esspa they add parafin to your nail treatments!!! All I can say is....Totally worth it! Pros: ambiance, staff, location more

Eva is the best! 4/4/2005

I have been going to see Eva for more than twelve years now, and have followed her to all of her beautiful locations. I have gone to other spas, but never have I been treated as finely as I am than when I go to Esspa. Eva is such a hard worker, she makes it impossible not to feel wonderful throughout your spa treatments, and even when you are on your way home, you are still feeling her hands on you. I have a business of my own, and I frequently tell my own customers to visit Eva, or to buy their wives a package. I'm so happy to see her succeeding in what she truly loves. more

I found this place while walking around Aspinwall. Its in an old mechanic's garage and the renovation is just incredible. The deep tissue massage I had was the best I have ever had. What a wonderful therapist and a real artist - I feel 100% better as a result of her massage! My experience today will bring me back and I will recommend ESSpa to my friends and family. I am a devout supporter of Eva Sztupka and her Hungarian skincare techniques and traditions. Although her spa has moved 3 times in 3 years, I have followed her each time. Her new, and FINAL location is the most exquisite to date, and the staff is simply outstanding. There are so many esthetic treatments to choose from. Esspa is the only Spa in Pittsburgh where I have received an honest therapeutic deep tissue sports massage that rivaled that of my specialist at UPMC Sports Medicine. In addition, Coco's (the exclusive boutique at Esspa) is a perfect place to buy exterior accessories to accent the wonders that Eva and her staff do for the mind and body. Esspa has the best products for people who want to improve their skin. Karen Hertzog makes the best cleansing milk and mild scrub and along with a microderm and facial, my skin looks 10 years younger! No plastic surgery needed! Every service I got done at the spa was better than the next, and my nail polish has stayed on for 2 weeks! You may get a glass of wine or appetizer while geting a pedicure too, which is just heavenly! Pros: restaurant, service, staff Cons: , hard to find more

Located in the heart of Fox Chapel, this Hungarian spa is beautiful! They offer everything from brazillian bikinis, to lash tints to hot lava pedicures! I had a full packaged spa day and a glass of merlot and a salad to make my day complete! Everything was great, and the packages make a great gift (I bought 3 for mothers day!) Off the beaten trail (if you don't know where you're going - call for directions) but well worth the effort. This spa is just as good (and the facials are better)as anything in nyc, la or anywhere else at twice the price. I'm hooked. Lynda F.
