Best

Been going to this restaurant since they opened their doors. First time I went I tried their beef enchiladas and have been hooked ever since. Fajitas are fantastic and their Mig...

Worst

Decided to check this place out since the parking lot always seem to be full of cars, and what a disappointment. below are the analysis of what we had: 1. Cheese enchiladas with ...

No Mas! 3/6/2007

After hearing people rave about this place my expectations were pretty high. Needless to say, my girlfriend and I were both very disappointed by this place. We ordered combo fajitas for two and they were worse than what you can get at a freakin? Chili?s. The meat was greasy and way too spicy. Moreover, the margaritas were sub-par, the cheese was terrible, the tortillas were average, the decor was non existent, the service was poor, and the wait was long. In a town bursting at the seams with thoroughbred Tex-Mex joints this place is a dud. more

Worst Mexican food in town. 12/29/2006

Avoid the cheese enchiladas at all costs unless you are a big fan of Velveeta. The green sauce tastes like it is straight from the can. The only passable thing was the salsa. Cons: All the worst elements of old school tex-mex and none of the good more

Why? Why? Why do people like this plastic cheese? 12/7/2006

All I have to say is FAKE CHEESE that leaves a WAXY COATING in your mouth that NOT EVEN BEER will erase. Pros: nada Cons: food, if you can call it that more

Great Fajitas 8/9/2006

The beef fajitas here are my favorite in Austin. The restaurant can get very crowded during lunch, and often has people waiting outside. The other things on the menu are good, but the fajitas are definately the reason to come back. Pros: Great fajitas Cons: Closed on mondays, line at lunch more

Simply the Best 4/27/2006

Y Mas is my favorite place to go for Mexican food. I always take out of town guests there for breakfast or lunch or dinner. My Austin friends and I eat there a lot. Great food! more

Excellent Hole-In-the-Wall 2/2/2006

Definitely get the beef faijitas. They are the best I have ever eaten. This place is a great value for your dollar - an excellent lunch spot! more

What I miss about Austin 11/13/2005

This place is wonderful. The food, fajitas, and enchiladas with ranchero sauce is incredible. Since we moved to Florida we've considered flying back just for our ""Enchiladas y Mas"" fix! There are many mexican restaurants here in Jacksonville, but NONE compare to Austin's own EYM. La Napolera management-take a trip to Austin and see what real tex-mex can be............. Pros: Fresh Food, Service, Consistant Cons: Parking, Too Small more

Not bad but... 1/18/2005

After all the rave reviews I expected better. Yes, the fajita meat has a great seasoning. Yes, the enchilada sauce is quite tasty. Yes, the portions are huge. But they only use American cheese, not really my fav, and the beans come only in refried (with shortening) style. If these things don't bother you, you'll probably be quite happy eating here. Pros: Inexpensive, Huge portions, Fast service Cons: , Crowded more

¡Las enchiladas son las mejores! 10/24/2004

The enchiladas are much better than the fajitas in my opinion (IMO). I ate there and ordered the steak/chicken fajitas and the beef enchiladas in order to see which was better. Based on the description of the restaurant, the fajitas were deemed better than the enchiladas, but although the fajitas were decent, the enchiladas were far superior! I ended up eating there again the very next day and just ordered beef enchiladas again. I WILL be going there again tomorrow (for my fourth time!). Pros: Enchiladas more

real austin tex-mex 1/16/2004

family owned, and operated. not over priced, original family recipes that are unmatched in austin.this place genuinely appreciates your business, and the service is excellent.true Tex-Mex Pros: inexpensive, service, friendly more

my fav 9/6/2003

Enchilada's Y Mas has been my fav since they were down on the I35 access road. I no longer live in Austin, but when I come to visit, it is the first place i go for Mexican food. Pros: inexpensive, great food, wonderful staff more

By far the best 8/28/2003

This was by far the most authentic place I have been to in Austin. It really puts places like Chuy's to shame. The prices were right, the quality is good, and the service was spot on. I really felt comfortable there. I will be hard finding a place to top this one, I don't think I'll even try, it's too good. Fajitas were great, as well as their Migas. Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly Staff, Good Food more

Great fajitas 12/16/2002

My wife and I went to Enchiladas Y Mas after reading the reviews here. Gotta concur with the other reviews that the fajitas are killer. Cheese enchiladas were good as well but the fajitas were better. Will definitely eat here again and have already recommended to my friends. more

OuttaThisWorldFajitas 10/18/2002

No kidding. The food here beats ALL other mexican food resaurants in town. The service is down home friendly, The salsa can be hot but delicious, and the fajitas will make you eat so much you hurt! more

Fajitas... mmmm.... 9/18/2002

The fajitas are absolutely the best in town. But it gets even better is the HUGE portions they serve. Literally three hungry people could fill up on the double fajita plate. The only problem is that they seem a little sporadic in their business hours. Pros: Great fajitas, Great price, Good service Cons: Bad parking, Sporadic hours more

Old Austin Style Tex-Mex! 8/13/2002

The spirit of the ols Casita Jorge's lives on here, with incredible cheesy, saucy enchiladas. The beef fajita meat has the most incredible flavor, umlike any other I've had in Austin. And the margaritas should come with a warning-- they'll kick your butt! It's worth the trip to Anderson LN. more

More enchiladas...please 8/7/2002

The enchiladas are great and priced right. Without a doubt, the migas are the best in town. Watch out for the lunch crowd, it gets packed. more
