I would rather live in a cardboard box than rent from these idiots again. This year has been a complete nightmare. Like the others said if I could give less than 1 star I would. Since we have moved in we have dealt with no hot water for a span of over 3 weeks, broken dryer 3 times (which took 3 weeks and 5 requests to get it looked at), no working power outlets in any of the bathrooms, half of the power outlets in the kitchen do not work, the ice maker quit working and it has not been looked at in 5 months, by replacing the hot water heater they knocked out our AC, which took another two weeks to fix, in July of all months. They will never return any phone calls, emails, maint. requests, or letters from lawyers. We even filed a complaint with the better business burough which they ignored. I am sure we wont be getting our deposit back either. more

Awesome apartments in West Campus 4/25/2012

I'm currently living at the Texan Shoal Creek apartments in West Campus (25th and Leon St.) and liked it so much my roommate and I renewed our lease for next year. The unit I have is a 2 bed, 2 bath, and it's great. We have a small balcony that overlooks the pool/patio and the apartment itself is way better than all of my friends' places. Hardwood floors, pretty wood cabinets, and stainless appliances in the kitchen, washer/dryer in the unit, a dishwasher, personal bathroom, carpeted bedrooms, and parking right underneath the building (which, if you've ever been in WC before, you KNOW is a good thing). The living room/kitchen area as well as the bedrooms are spacious, it's a block from the bus stop, and it's very cheap for WC. At one point we had a problem with our sink faucet, and the next morning after I filed a report in the office, Ely Properties (the company that manages the apts) sent someone out who fixed it in 20 minutes. Overall, would definitely recommend. more

Love Ely Properties 4/18/2012

I am a tenant at Texas Shoal Creek Apartments and have decided to release with them for the year of 2012-2013 so overall I will be living here for 2 years while I attend UT Austin. I highly recommend Texan Shoal Creek because overall my experience has been wonderful. I live in a 4 bedroom and 2 bath apartment and I love it! The apartment is very spacious, especially the living area. When people come to check it out positive comments are always made! The price is also pretty reasonable for living in a 4 bedroom in West Campus; it's definitely one of the cheapest! The rooms go pretty fast so if you want to live here do it as soon as possible...you won't regret it!! Texan Shoal Creek is a definite must for those looking for something in West Campus! more

Great Experience with Ely Properties 4/11/2012

I absolutely love my apartment at Texan Shoal Creek, and I am very satisfied with the customer service of the management company, Ely Properties. First of all, our apartment is much nicer looking than many of the other apartments in West Campus. The appliances and overall appearance of the place are very nice, and they look brand new. I have friends who live at Texan Tower, and their apartments are also very nice. Both of these apartments are under Ely Property management, so it's obvious that this company upholds a high standard for apartment buildings. I have been very pleased with the Ely Properties staff, as well; any time we have filed a maintenance request, we have had someone come by to help no later than the next day. I've always been able to get ahold of management by phone or e-mail, and they are always willing to help. My roommates and I are so happy with Ely, and so comfortable in our apartment, that we are renewing our lease to live here for the second year in a row! I highly recommend leasing any of the apartments through Ely Properties; you will not be disappointed! more

First Apartment and I love it! 4/5/2012

This is my first apartment and I am very pleased with how everything has turned out. The maintenance turn-around is not even 24 hours after you send out a request. I live at Texan Shoal Creek and I pay less rent than some of my friends in West Campus that don't have as spacious room, closet, and bathroom as me. Our kitchen and living room are spacious as well and the in-unit washer and dryer is great. I'm definitely staying here again for the 2012-2013 school year. more

Ely Properties Living 4/5/2012

I have always been amazed with how fast the maitenance has come everytime we've had an issue at our apartment. The Texan Pearl never has bugs and the noise has never really been a problem for me. My room, closet, and bathroom are very spacious. Our living and kitchen are also very large and we have enough room for a dining room table in our kitchen. We have a large balcony. The lady at the front desk of Ely Properties has always been a pleasure to work with. more

Very satisfied 4/4/2012

I am amazed with how helpful Ely Properties has been any time I have a problem. Any time I have made a maintenance request someone has come to fix the problem the next day. At their customer service office they make me feel very welcome and taken care of. I would definitely recommend Ely Properties to a friend. more

Excellent customer service 4/4/2012

This is the first time that I have ever rented an apartment, and Ely Properties has made it an easy and care-free experience. I have been a tenant of theirs now for almost a year, but after only 2 months of living in my current place I was so pleased that I signed a release agreement and so did my 3 other roommates as well. Any time that I've ever called Ely Properties I've been able speak with a helpful representative right away. Also, there was one time that I needed to be able to speak with someone at Ely after hours and I was given a personal cell phone number of a representative and was told to ""call any time, day or night"". Employees at Ely Properties actually care about their tenants and go out of their way to make things easier for us, such as hand-delivering our water bill to our door so that we don't have to call and figure out the total ourselves. If you're looking for a real estate agent that will consistently be available, helpful, and delightful to work with--call Ely Properties! more

As a former non-student tenant of Ely Properties, I received excellent service. They were always quick to respond to problems and were always friendly. If you need a rental in Austin area, Ely Properties should be one of your first choices. They have both in-town and rural rentals available, and the best landlord I have EVER had! more

Very thorough company 9/22/2011

It took me months to find a good property management company in the Austin area. Ely Properties did a 2 hour walk through inspection while I was there. It was very thorough and the areas that needed maintenance have already been scheduled for repair. Thank you Ely Properties for looking out for my interests. more

Recommended 9/12/2011

I moved from out of state and found Ely Properties online. The management team made it an easy move in and communication was easy over the phone. For a single person, their one bedrooms are great, especially for someone moving into their first apartment. If something broke, a response was given within 24 hrs either by email or phone. Usually with in a day you see a maintenance person. They do not enter your apartment without your permission which is nice. Currently, I still live in their apartments and while I'm looking for a bigger space, I am considering one of their other buildings since they have a few different places. Neighborhood is nice and street parking is also available. more

I had an excellent experience renting from Ely Properties. Ely Properties showed me nothing but extreme professionalism and kindness. They are easily contactable and were usually able to send maintenance personnel the same day. I had a wonderful experience with the people of Ely Properties, loved their property, and would definitely rent from them again. more

Good Real estate company 6/17/2011

Ely Properties sold our house in less than one month despite the high number of foreclosures and short sales in the area. They knew the area well and priced the house fairly. The closing went smoothly and they did everything to ensure all documents were done in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone because they are an excellent fair and knowledgeable realtor.
