After going to several other locations -Ventura, Simi Valley, Palm Desert, La Mirada - I was looking forward to visiting the new Elephant Bar in Burbank. Unfortunately, the b...

This place is always loud. I can't even hear people over the music. When I go I just stare at people and play on my iPhone. The food isn't that great either. more

Great Place! 12/20/2011

Happy hour here is the best! I love coming here after work and spending some time with my friends. Great environment. more

Good Service 12/20/2011

Thought it would be just another ordinary restaurant, but I was pretty surprised how pleasing the food was. more

average at its best 3/26/2011

after getting the table, had to wait 15 minutes to put the orders. The waitress disappeared for ten minutes in the middle of taking orders. One appetizer order was wrong; there were no plates to eat appetizers, no napkins - we had to constantly ask for napkins. The food was average - to be just kind - lamb was dry, with no spices; salmon was half-cooked; pork ribs were all fat; two margaritas had no alcohol. We paid cash, the waitress 'forgot"" to give us the receipt. Overall dull atmosphere, poor service. more

Great food and service! 11/30/2010

I went to the Elephant Bar Restaurant for a friends birthday. We were a huge party but our waiter knew how to handle it extremely well! He was able to keep a conversation with all of us and made us laugh. When we received our meal and I got the NY steak sandwich and it was finger lickin' gooood! The drinks were just simply lovely. The whole experience was great and I will be returning there! more

Eccentric Entrees 1/12/2009

Elephant Bar was okay...I mostly enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant with its wildlife theme and decorum. The menu was too much...every entree was over the top...it was very hard for me to order something semi-basic. But I definitely enjoyed the environment. Good place for seafood. more

Average franchise food, average price, good service 6/30/2008

The ambiance is good, but the food is definitely average. They have the standard fare and nothing exciting. The service is good. It reminds me of the Rainforest Cafe without the sound effects. I would never suggest going here for an adventure. more

A Great Place 2/14/2008

Everything we've ever had on the menu has been delicious. The drinks tend to be a bit pricey, but the food is reasonable for the area. The... more

They must make their money on the drinks... 12/30/2007

The variety and quality of entrees is amazing. We've been over a dozen times and never had a bad meal. They revamp their menu every so often and we miss their Caribbean Pot-Roast which was incredible. Then again so is just about everything else so we'll get over it. The prices are lower than Denny's which makes me think they make their money at the bar, though the restaurant is very family friendly and noisy enough to bring the kids without worry. It is popular and there can be a thirty minute wait if you see people milling outside. Pros: Great menu, low price, good service even when crowded. Cons: none noted more

very mediocre 11/28/2007

i think this is part of a chain. it's the kind of place for big portions and big family nights with a couple of unlucky dates thrown in. typical american pub grub snacks and giant dinners. not remarkable in the least, probably gets most of its business by being family friendly and near the village Pros: full bar Cons: lots of unruly kids more

Great place for large groups-BIG MAN PORTIONS-Prompt service 9/12/2007

Just forty-five minutes between seatin' and eatin' , that's all it took. The Kona Ribs could've used a more imaginative sauce or maybe a rub, but the genorous portion-I shared three of the tender jewels with a buddy and I still had trouble finishing-and a few hits of hot sauce more than made up for it. more

As far as service goes, put it like this-they brought me lots of good food, quickly. I didn't notice if they were smiling or frowning and could've cared less. A question to all those people who go to restaraunts more

It's a chain. Expect mediocrity 2/5/2007

The decor of this place is sort of Pier 1/Cost Plus hodgepodge, with assorted African masks and Indian art thrown randomly together to create an ""exotic"" vibe. Whatever. We went to check out their shrimp specials. I had an Orange Shrimp dish that was a variation on General Tso's Chicken...the garlic and orange sauce was so sickly sweet that it tasted like it was made with Kool-Aid or HawaiianPunch. Portions were big, but it all tasted slightly canned, like the sauce was pre-made. Service was apathetic; there was a moderate crowd so we asked our waitress if she was busy. The response was an expressionless ""I hadn't noticed"". We got our food in due time, she checked with us once and that was it. Not a horrible experience but not much incentive to return, either. Pros: Price, convenience, location Cons: Mediocre food, indifferent service more
