I was refered to Electric Chair by a friend of mine. I was looking to add to my collection of tattoos. My husband was looking to get a tattoo, so we meet with Stephanie. The piece came out beautiful. It was done by Chris, because our timing was terrible to have Stepahnie do it. Now I have two beautiful pieces by Stephanie and plan on getting more. \r She also pierced my oldest girl's ears, and she was so good with her. My daughter is easly sacred, but she didn't flinch.\r Every person that I have come across at the shop has been great. more

I stopped in this weekend and would definitely recommend this place. They have a really cool vibe right when you walk in. I was a little unsure what I was looking for exactly, just had some general ideas, then I talked to Stephanie who was very friendly and put me at ease right away. She made some great suggestions and I am very happy with my new tat! Thanks! more

Great place and great customer service. I went to do a lip piercing and they did a great joob. They explain everything really well to me. Love my lip piercing . Ill totally go back to the electric chair . Nice people very friendly , they treat you very good and a very clean place. more

LOVE DANNY! STAY AWAY FROM LAMONT! 10/8/2011

Lamont is just rude rude rude and not as talented as some of the others that are now there. >>DANNY<< did an above awesome job on my tattoo and gave me a really good price. I just wish Lamont would have gotten out of the room while *Danny* was working on me, and would have quit criticizing my other tattoo that their other coworker did which I also love. I also didn't appreciate Lamont hovering over Danny while he was working on me, trying to tell him what colors he should use on me. Thank God Danny didn't listen. Again, Danny gave me a super good price on my tat and Lamont in front of me told him WTF are you crazy!? Why are you not charging her more? If I was doing that I would charge at least twice as much. He kept telling Danny to charge me more but Danny just politely laughed and was like no. Lamont just kept running his mouth the whole night about all kind of stuff, so I could go on forever. A few of us went in because my friend wanted a tattoo she had been yearning for. Lamont was who she got, and he was probably the most obnoxious, inconsiderate, loud-mouthed, perverted person, and tattoo artist that I've encountered. Did nothing but hit on us the entire time, not once getting the hint we could care less. The color on her tattoo is now peeling off as it appears he did not go deep enough. The guy who pierced my ear was very informal, got way to close to me while doing his work, also hit on me in a very creepy way, and didn't even explain any cleaning procedures; I had to ask for a care sheet. We were basically harassed from the moment we walked in. I wouldn't recommend Lamont to anyone, although his artwork looked legit. Definitely will do more research next time. more

I got my fourth tattoo from Lamont recently, it looks incredible and everyone I show it to is really impressed. The only bad thing about this spot is all the haters in the shop. Three of the guys talked bad about my tattoo before I got it done saying ""Fcuk that tattoo and whoever is getting it"" which I thought was really unprofessional. Lamont has come in for me on his days off if I call him and he's even understanding when I change the colours or placement a million times. The other guys up there don't really like him, but I heard them saying some very anti-black things in the parking lot so I'm thinking it's just their small minds. Pros: Lamont Cons: Gossip more

I have been trying to get a tattoo for Vic since he was in New Orleans. When I first met him I was wowed with his ability to speak intulectually on almost any topic. But then I commisioned him for a surprise piece. He told me he had drawn up a traditional Gypsy Head. I was a little worried about a head at first but when I saw it on paper, then my foot, then fully colored, one might say I was on cloud 9. From our one meeting he captured me is color and personality. He is currently working on another piece for me and has done one on my husband and my husband is thinking about getting another from Vic. After a recommendation from a co-worker, I went here to get my first tattoo. I got the ideal gas law tattooed on the inside of my lower lip; it reads: ""PV=nRT"". Since the lip is an extremely sensitive and somewhat tricky place to get a tattoo, I was turned down by several tattoo shops before finding electric chair. First, I had an appointment with Lamont, but as I was waiting on him (he was an hour late) a guy named Chris ""saved me"" from Lamont, agreeing to do my tattoo instead. (Lamont is notoriously...a bad tattooist) Chris was extremely professional, polite, fast and good. Since lip tattoos tend to fade and need touch ups, Chris offered free touch ups. I will certainly go back to electric chair for more work in the future, including piercings. Chris is an awesome guy and a talented artist. I had several piercings done here before I decided to get a tattoo. Rick (or Kcir as he writes it) was great and all the piercings healed wonderfully. I then got a tattoo of a lotus by BB (who is no longer there) and it turned out better than I could have imagined. I love it so much.\r \r And then I went back for another tattoo. I spoke to Lamont who is very...hyperactive. He said BB didn't work there anymore, but wouldn't tell me where he went. I've never had any bad experiences with this shop and trusted everyone here. I got a tattoo on my wrist and I cannot describe how much I hate it. The stencil he drew was great, but the execution just didn't work. The lines are shaky, you can see where some areas are darker than others, it's not shaded AT ALL, and it's overall just not that hot. I'm actually going to have to go to another place to have it fixed. Also, he did not give me an aftercare sheet. I had to ask for one.\r \r Overall this is a great place. Very very clean and everyone (except Lamont) is professional and serious about what they do.\r \r I would recommend this place to anyone, but warn them to stay far far away from Lamont. I GOT 2 TATTOOS HERE AND ARIES SYMBOL ON MY ARM AND TRIBAL FLOWER ON MY STOMACHE. PEOPLE ARE CONSTANTLY COMPLIMENTING MY TATTOOS EVERYWHERE I GO. This place was pretty cool. I got a celtic knot tattoo on my arm. Stephanie did it and I'm totally stoked about getting my next tattoo now ! I don't know what's up with the address listed on here though. I guess maybe they moved or something, because they are on Richmond over by Fondren now. Anyways, I'd recommend this place to anyone...
