Rather like dining in a haunted house... 8/26/2006

This is one of those place you wonder how they remain in business over the years unless they are really a front for something else. After passing this place for years, I finally tried it out. The evening I went there it was completely deserted; even the staff was not readily visible. The food was unremarkable -- salty, overcooked, dry and decidely inauthentic. The resturant interior was dark and threadbare making the overall experience rather like dining in a haunted house -- perhaps an appealing idea at Halloween. If you've never had German / Central European food, this is NOT the place to try it. Pros: Potentially a good Halloween venue Cons: Overcooked, bland food; sparse wait staff; threadbare ambience more

Average prices, mediocre food 8/13/2005

I've lived in Germany, and this was not really authentic German food... though even if it had been *inauthentic* and tasty, I would have been pleased. Alas, the food was generally bland. My pork was dry and my spaetzle flavorless and my friend's filet mignon was vastly overcooked despite being ordered medium-rare. Servers were friendly and moderately helpful. Dessert was tasty but nothing special. Pros: Friendly staff, comfy atmosphere, seated promptly Cons: mediocre food more

Very Pleasant 11/14/2002

I had been meaning to try this place out for a while and when I finally did, I was pleasantly suprised.. Although it was a little akward to be the only guests dining, it was overall a very pleasant experience... The chicken dish with sauteed spinach is very good as is the desserts! Wine list is smallish and limited but it was great! Pros: Atmosphere, Service Cons: Parking more
