The worst evaluator. He destroyed my life. Very bad, inconsiderate, manipulative evaluator.he asked me if I like to go to India with my daughter. My response was that i like to, if she is given to me in custody. The man, mr.robert cantu manipulated the report that I will run away with my daughter and that I need to be on supervision. I have been on supervision for 8 years.although I have no intent to run away with her, they wont even let me see my daughter because this dr. Is manipulative. more

Interned at Mayo Clinic, MN. I was referred by another doctor because of my inter-related issues. In the past 5 years he has helped me tackle: depression, obsessive eating, tourettes, hording, ADD and OCD. more

Unethical and illegal practice... 3/10/2011

Good: Nothing. Bad: he gave my 15 year old daughter written post dated scripts for Adderal for my older daughter who had not been back from college in 4 months! Not legal! He did many unethical things ...look at his track record with the medical board..... Improvements: Not allowing him to practice or prescribe. Other: This man needs to have his license yanked not just his hand spanked !. more

Great Doctor 1/6/2009

I have been a patient of Dr. Cantu's for a few years now and he is by far the best shrink I've ever been to. He treats you like a friend and gives great insight and candid advice that is always helpful. AS for rumours from "former patients", I wouldn't put much faith in unfounded gossip. Let the man stand on his credentials and record. more

He may be OK for men, but please don't see this doctor if you're female. He's a bit of a letch. I found out some horrible things from a former patient of his. I'm surprised they didn't take his license away. more

Very nice doctor - very expensive! 8/18/2005

One major factor with us with Dr. Cantu was the price. We went for the intial consultation and were shocked that price was $250 !! Dr. Cantu is very thorough and listens to everything you have to say and offers very sound advice. We were recommended to him by a family member, so we went in knowing he came highly recommended. The major reason we stopped seeing Dr. Cantu was the price - if insurance doesn't cover it, it can be very painful for your checkbook!! But his skills are excellent and we recommend Dr. Cantu - if you can afford him. more
