Hard To Believe(part 1 of 2) 7/28/2008

I find Dr Baumeister and the whole office of,to be extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. He has addressed my pain and given me roads to take to help in the long run.I am reassured to have a comfortable environment as well as a dr.who does not put up with any discrepencies. If you abide by the contract then he abides by you.The only demands that this office asks is that you are honest, abide by your contract, have a legitimate pain issue and believe there is hope.Thats not too much to ask for. more

Baumeister is horrible 2/7/2008

I saw Baumeister two years ago for pain in my back. He had me on methadone and suddenly cut me off. After I get this letter from him saying that he is discharging me immediately from his care, I decided to see what this was all about. I find out that an MRI I had scheduled in Fed Way had someone in the office report to Baumeister that I was going to another doctor. Of course I was going to another doctor! Baumeister requires a referral from a family doc typically. Needless to say, he thinks I am out looking for opiates, even after I signed an agreement with him. When I tried to call and tell him that the doctor the MRI CPI ic had on record was from a year prior, the lady at Baumeister's front desk will hear none of it. I don't care how many times they hear excuses. The fact was. I was on methadone which caused withdrawal when I abruptly stopped, all over some moron in a doctor's office mistake. It's very true that Baumeister is unprofessional. He changes his mind all the time, is very odd, and the lady at his front desk talks about other patients to everyone like it is no big deal. The lady is Baumeister's "significant other" and is quick to tell you that she too is a chronic pain patient. As if it wasn't obvious of her opiate usage by the way she acts. Besides that, the office is very strange. Either way, if you're looking to score some meds, I don't k ow what to tell you. But if you are looking to have your chronic pain treated, I would find a halfway normal doctor. more

beware of this doctor! 8/22/2007

I saw Dr. John Baumeister, D.O. last year and was just recently looking over my records. Very rarely have I run across a doctor this unfriendly, so rude and unhelpful and judgmental. He was way more interested in reaching over his lovely assistant's chest typing in information than he was in helping my painful condition. Both my husband and I were completely appalled at his "bedside manner" and when I reported his highly suspect and unusual dealings we had in his office and the way I was dismissed as "someone beyond his help", my regular doctor apologized and apologized saying that he had heard similar experiences from other people he sent to him and he was so sorry for having me treated in this manner. It was one of the most distressing medical visits in my life. One doctor that the public needs to be informed of is this guy.....Please Beware for Dr. John Baumeister! more
