Review content:
I saw Baumeister two years ago for pain in my back. He had me on methadone and suddenly cut me off. After I get this letter from him saying that he is discharging me immediately from his care, I decided to see what this was all about. I find out that an MRI I had scheduled in Fed Way had someone in the office report to Baumeister that I was going to another doctor. Of course I was going to another doctor! Baumeister requires a referral from a family doc typically. Needless to say, he thinks I am out looking for opiates, even after I signed an agreement with him.
When I tried to call and tell him that the doctor the MRI CPI ic had on record was from a year prior, the lady at Baumeister's front desk will hear none of it. I don't care how many times they hear excuses. The fact was. I was on methadone which caused withdrawal when I abruptly stopped, all over some moron in a doctor's office mistake.
It's very true that Baumeister is unprofessional. He changes his mind all the time, is very odd, and the lady at his front desk talks about other patients to everyone like it is no big deal.
The lady is Baumeister's "significant other" and is quick to tell you that she too is a chronic pain patient. As if it wasn't obvious of her opiate usage by the way she acts. Besides that, the office is very strange.
Either way, if you're looking to score some meds, I don't k ow what to tell you. But if you are looking to have your chronic pain treated, I would find a halfway normal doctor.
