Dr. John Baumeister D.O.

I wish I could give a rating lower than 1 star. I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm wich causes very painful migrains and a shoulder requiring surgery. I got a referal to see a pain specialist. Unfortunately I picked Dr Baumeister. I saw him 2 weeks prior to surgery and he prescribed some pain medication. My regular agreed I should up it because my shoulder was getting worse. I called his office as was treated very poorly by the receptionist who is nosey and very rude and unprofessiona. The Dr promised to manage my pain after my sugery. I called the day after surgery and was told he would not treat me. So I am stuck 2 weeks after with nothing to help with the pain. It takes weeks and sometimes months to get in to see another one. So if you really need pain managment run from this quack. You will regret it. I called the Dr to ask why and he hung up on me. Please find a better doctor. more

This is a fantastic dr and wife team. Loving caring and helpful. Very professional mixed with old school dr feeling. Mrs. B never hesitated to help me to the bathroom and with my pants....above and beyond ....she also called me while i was in the hospital to check on me. He is very funny with a wonderful dry since of humor..im guessing thay is what that post about him not being there is about. I feel nothing but wonderful in my decision to go to his practice more

I did NOT want to go to a pain doctor I wanted to be fixed, I let Dr B know I wasn't happy coming to him, I wanted to be repaired, not medicated. Br B easily figured out what was causing my pain where after a year no one else could, He sent me to U Of Wa where the smartest university of Washington doctors agreed with him and completed tests to confirm that he was right. They have a plan to make me better, the least invasive is one that is not covered by insurance that I did on one of my discs that made it so I walk faster and can climb stairs and sit on hard chairs..all because Dr Baumeister took an interest. He is not a pill pusher - he truly wants to see healing. Truly God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, Boy did God fool me when I thought going to a pain doctor was the stupist thing in the world. Turned out he is the best thing that ever happened to my case. Not fixed yet, but getting closer, If God's hand is on anyone it is on Dr Baumeister and his wife. They want nothing but to help. I will always keep them in my prayers, even if the outcome isn't total healing, I am much better than when I started.Not afaraid to say my name like that fuddy duddy who worte the pack of lies..they must of been or he would have siad his name. One day we will all be held accountable, sign your name or not..God knows who you are...expect to be called on it. Anger and bitterness is not going to fly...Thanks Dr B, Marcel more

Dr.Baumeister is the best pain Dr.around.Dr.B truly cares alot about his patients.I have made quiet a few emergency calls to him and he always calls me back with an awnser or to fix whatever the problem may be.I also think he is very funny and he makes me laugh alot !I love to hear his little stories about family and his cats.Dr.B makes you feel very comfortable and welcome.I also love the office staff all of them are very sweet, pleasant and friendly.I love looking at there pet board when I go there.It is a board with patients and staffs pics of pets and it is ver fun to look at ! I have been going to Dr.B for around 7 years and I would trust him with my closest friends and relatives if they needed a Dr. more

For anyone who is looking for a sincere, compassionate, caring and professional pain Dr. and staff, look no furthur. I must respond to the post made by R.G.I find it interesting that of all the reviews on here you have decided to relate only to the one by a supposed dr.If you would have read all of the reviews,you would realize that this alleged dr also claims to be a DEA agent and has only slanderous,uninformed,malicious things to say about a clearly educated,compassionate,caring,personable physician as Dr. Baumeister and his wife, who happens to be very professional in my opinion. I am basing this on personal experience as well as here say from multiple people. You say that your PCP referred you to Dr. Baumeister, yet you decided NOT to take a professionals advice who you obviously have seen on a regular basis seeing as they ARE your PCP.Instead you have taken the advice of 1 person on a website who has only negative things to say and not the many other positive reviews on this site. I can only conclude by your poor judgment, that you either did not do your research and have missed out on a golden oppurtunity to be helped by someone so knowedgable as well as respected that he could have made your life so much better physically by helping you in your condition. Or, possibly you are the same person who has made the other 2 outlandish posts on here. If you are a different person however, I think it is a shame that you will not know first hand how truly wrong you are about such a terrific Doctor as well as office. I also don't think if takes a rocket scientist to figure out that the woman running the office is the Drs wife seeing as they have the same last name. I don't think it is imperative to your health however that they divulge this information to you when you are setting your appts. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with a husband and wife team, and not knowing the Dr and the practice you mentioned I cannot comment on their behavior. I can say though, based on personal experience,that you are sadly mistaken about Dr. Baumesiter and his staff.Thanks to them,I have a quality of life as well as hope for the future. more

Good: Dr B started out by treating the pain, but then helped me dig down with other specialists to find the underlying cause of my pain. After YEARS of odd problems he was able to pinpoint a diagnosis and send me to a specialist for my problems. The specialist ALSO recommends and respects Dr B. I also know that whenever I call, nights, weekends, holidays, he is there on the phone or with a quick call back if he is with another patient. He is very much like the Drs of olde, your PERSONAL Dr.. Bad: It is a very small office. One Dr, his wife and an admin assistant. I think it would be great if he expanded his practice as I really hate knowing that if I call at 2AM, it is always him I will be getting up.. Improvements: I would like to see Dr B and his wife have more time off to allow them to relax a bit more. Sometimes they just seem so tired, I worry about them and therefore the sustainibility of a practice I depend on.. Other: Dr B is a dedicated Dr who is willing to deal with your pain, believes the pain levels and locations you give him, carefully monitors opiate usage and purchase to ensure that diversion is unlikely, and provides a 24/7 service that is seldom seen in the medical profession today. I have been sent to DrB by a PCP, 2 specialists and spoken to many of his patients in the waiting room. I have heard nothing but positive things about him and his wife. Please ignore the rantings of a few about such a great Dr.. more

I have to say I am so glad I found this site. I was just referred by my PCP to Dr. B. for low back pain. I have been to many pain management docs and there are many bad ones out there. I especially hate the Dr. and wife/husband combos. They make mistakes, poor decisions, and treat patients with disrespect and then cover for each other when a patient complains (WA Pain Center in Edmonds (Dr. Hong) was especially bad about this as well). And they don't bother to tell you up front that they are husband and wife. I see here that there seems to be some major problems with Dr. B's practice that he needs to look into at the very least--denial is no way to run your business--think of how many customers you are losing just from these posts? I'm just glad that I saved myself all the hassel and heartache and grief of dealing with another potentially crappy doctor who thinks he can get away with anything. Thanks to those of you or the one person/doctor who wrote the one HONEST review here-you saved me tons of time and pain-and I'm sure that was your intent the whole time. Looking out for the patient..NOT yourself! The way it should be always. I wish more doctors were proactive as yourself. more

Bravo Lexi, you are 100% correct. Dr. Baumeister is the best Dr. around & John C. hasn't a leg to stand on. My life is enormously better since being under the care of Dr. B. John C. You are no DEA agent, I can be assured of that. I worked with them before & you are as far from what they really are as much as your opinions about Dr. B are incorrect. Any one who is a real patient of Dr. Baumeister's and who knows his wife personally or as a staff member, knows how completely absurd John Cs review is.A DEA agent?a Dr?pick one or the other but I had no hope of being out of pain or finding what was wrong with me till I saw Dr B. I was turned away repeatedly by drs who couldn't and wouldn't take the time to do tests to find what the real problem was. Now I have a quality of life with a lot less pain because of Dr Bs treatment and him AND his wifes professionalism and patience. I am very pleased with their office which is extremely sanitary and very homey and comfortable. To say such slanderous and false things out of either jealousy or because you maybe violated the agreements and don't want to take responsibility is just malicious and ill conceived.There is no one I would rather have treat me as a pain management dr, than someone who has not only ran an ER but who also was in family practice and switched to this type of treatment so he could spend more time with his patients and treat them as people and not as drug seekers because they have legitimate pain and health problems. I am sorry that you are so bitter and you have to pretend to be someone else to write such nonsense. It is obvious there has only been one person with a bad review of Dr. B and that person was in violation of their pain contract and that you have to pretend to be someone else to slander someone unnecessarily. I hope you can find someone to help you like so many of us have with Dr. Baumeister that don't take advantage of his knowledge,kindness,patience in finding the real diagnosis and his generosity with his time on each appointment.Dr. Baumeister is the best dr. I have had nothing but great results with Dr. B & all staff. I would be closer with two feet in the grave had he not found my medical problems.I trust no other Dr's opinion unless I talk to him first. I am forever grateful for all of their help. To the ones who look to condemn I can only say not every DR is going to be the one to work for you. Hurtful, rude comments shows ignorance and not someone I would trust. I believe the one with personality/mental problems is yourself. If you were a former patient of Dr. B's, I can understand why you are not any longer. Dr. John Baumeister is NOT State Board Certified as a real doctor. He is wrongfully judgemental in many medical issues but has NOT completed his education. They do not keep sanitary areas for patients and seemingly do not care about their cleanliness. His wife is an administrator for the office who has a wild temper and bullies patients with threatens them. Both seem to be Psychopathic liars and lie to patients often. They have lied to THIS DEA Agent and to other Government Officials. THIS GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL FOUND THIS EVIDENCE to be true. Dr. John Baumeister is not equipped with knowledge of medical issues and makes snap diagnoses which many have been wrong. THIS IS THE REASON THIS DEA AGENT IS WRITING ABOUT THEM. Other doctors don't agree with Dr. John Baumeister's diagnoses. Dr. Baumeister is wrong often. Dr. Baumeister is endangering a patient's health. His wife also thinks she is a doctor with MD after name. Dr. John Baumeister seems unsure of himself, having a lack of, or no record of passing the State Board Certification Exam and only 6 years of college education. He is NOT a real Doctor. Their office manners show their real weaknesses inside their office as patients have complained to our office about them. The wife possesses an explosive anger which she called "a dominate personality". She shows no apology and shows no remorse. Dr. John Baumeister is predictable for his wrong assumptions of illnesses. His wife has been wrong several times for her wrongful Right of Privacy as she speaks about a patients without permission. She has no regard for privacy. more

No other doctor makes the same claim in their diagnoses as Dr.Baumeister which shows his lack of education, and we doctors find his claims in health issues NOT pertinent nor a copy of our own claims of a patient's illness. We see this problem as wreckless and possibly endangering a patient's health. Dr.Baumeister seems unsure of himself, having a lack of, or no record of passing the State Board Certification Exam to show himself as a real doctor. There is no record of his trying to pass a Certification exam. As a doctor I am extremely worried that I might receive his patients and I refuse to. The real term for their office manners for both, mr.&mrs, is "caveat emptor" or buyer beware, as both show their real weaknesses in-person inside their office as patients have come to me with their complaints about him and his wife. The wife possesses an exposive anger without her apology and shows no remorse. Dr.Baumeister is predictable for his wrong assumptions of patients and illnesses. If you are in pain and need a caring, efficient, personable, friendly and helpful doctor then Dr. B is the one to see. He is the best pain mgmnt. doctor around and he cares very much for his patients and their comfort. Both himself and his staff are excellent. Dr. B and his wife have both been on the patient end of the pain issue. Who better to help you with your pain than those who can truly understand? It's too bad there isn't more doctors like this around. If there was life would sure be alot easier for those of us that have multiple medical issues and have to pick through the wasteland of uncaring medical professionals. By all means if you want a pleasant, personable, caring, efficient and wonderful doctor & great staff to boot then make Dr. B your physician. more

Dr. B is the best pain management doctor around. His office staff is friendly, courteous, professional & make you feel very comfortable always. Dr. B himself is personable, friendly and always willing to listen..and not just about pain issues! If you're looking for someone to just prescribe opiates then go elsewhere, you're not wanted here. If you have pain issues and want a compassionate doctor and staff, then this is the place to be! I love Dr. B & everyone there. I couldn't do without their humor and support. Both the doctor and his wife have been on the patient end of things. Who else do you want treating you than someone who completely understands? Too bad there isn't more understanding doctors around. I've seen many pain docs in the greater Seattle area, and there just isn't anybody as good, or as caring, as Dr. B. Yes, you have to live up to the LETTER and SPIRIT of your narcotics agreement, because his entire practice rides on every patient. That doesn't really seem unreasonable, does it, in light of the potential consequences? His wit is dry, you have to be on the ball to catch it. Unfriendly? Sorry, no. Not unless you are. And his wife/receptionist is also wonderful and professional. more

As for front desk and his wife.I have seen her go out of her way to keep patients privacy.She is very friendly and completely professional.Everyone is human and may need medication.What better Dr or office to understand your pain than someone has a condition and has a loved one with a condition in that profession.I am reassured that he not only protects his integrity as a Dr. and person but also his employees and patients by being so thorough.I highly reccomend this Doctor AND his entire staff. more
