We were very disappointed in this restaurant. It had been highly recommended so we were anxious to check it out. The food was mediocre at best. It was dirty and lacked any decor appeal a real mexican restaurant should have. We will not be going back. more

I love to try new restaurants. I remember as a child eating at a mexican restaurant called the Chuck Wagon and falling in love. Since that time I have wandered from restaurant to restaurant hoping to find a suitable replacement. I experienced many let downs through this journey. I am happy to say that Dos Reales more than makes up for all of the previous let downs. The service is fantastic, first and foremost. Sometimes great service can, at times, make you overlook the actual taste of the food. Luckily, the food is amazing!!!! Always hot, fresh, and tantalizing. Sometimes we go back two or three times a week. The children actually request to eat at this location and they are all under the age of 7. If you have not experienced Dos Reales, you are not as well off as you could be. Give it a try, today!!!!! Pros: friendly and prompt service. Great tasting food. Dos Reales is located down Prospect south of the freeway and therefore some people never think to try it. Try it. You won't regret it. The food is reasonably priced and very very tasty. My friend always got the chicken fajitas and it looked like they brought him at least half a chicken. The waiters were very polite and attentive every time we visited. They've expanded their facilities and have both a "greenhouse" sort of covered area and a new annex. Be care, though, at prime restaurant hours the entry waiting area can become absolutely packed. more

Dos Reales is a very casual place to get authentic Mexican food. There are unlimited chips and salsa served with every meal (which is so great with one of their delicious frozen margaritas). The service is very quick and friendly and the reastaraunt and bathrooms are clean. Overall, Dos Reales provides and excellent meal for a fairly inexpensive price. more

Dos Reales is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in the Champaign area. They have a great menu with lots of choices and variety. Food is always fresh and hot. There salsa is fantastic, great flavor, just the right amount of spice and the perfect textrue. You can choose mild or hot salsa based on your preference. Great atomosphere, clean environment and good service. Would highly recommend if your looking for a great place for Mexican. more
