Super Authentic! 1/9/2007

Dos Reales is what Mexican food is supposed to be, Authentic, Cheap and FAST. Never seen faster service in my life. Their Chips N Salsa is "ok" especially compared to that at Chevy's which is off the charts good, but their selection is enormous and the food is good and quickly made. I personally get the Pollo ala Parilla every time i got and am rarely disappointed. more

A Crowd Favorite 4/17/2006

I am not a Mexican food fan, but my wife is. Her choice of Mexican restaurants is the local favorite Dos Reales. Dos is consistently winning local awards for best Mexican restaurant. There are a lot of choices to choose from, and the food is just great! The service is undeniably the best of any restaurant in Champaign. Within the last few years, they have added on to the building to allow more customers. This is a great place to eat. more

Dos Reales Mexican Restaurant 4/14/2006

Dos Reales Mexican Restaurant is as authentic as you can get with Mexican food in central Illinois. I simply love going there and having a beer with my dinner. My favorite things there are the chicken fajitas which come out on this sizzling hot plate with loads of veggies like onions, green peppers, and spices and seasonings. You won’t see any fake Mexican food here as their main goal is to aim for quality and authenticity. more

Not your average Mexican place! 4/11/2006

One of my friends is so addicted to Dos that we used to go at least once a week. The food is great with generous proportions. I love the chips and salsa! The wait staff are generally very friendly and I have never experienced a long wait here. I have discovered other Mexican restaurants in town that I like better than Dos but it is still a great place that definitely provides a different experience than your average chain Mexican restaurant. It's much more authentic. The prices are quite reasonable. more

Award Winning 8/5/2005

They are often chosen as the best Mexican food in U-C. I went there several times. They had something made by taros which was very good. The strange thing is everytime I told them that I wanted that dish made by taros, they didn't really know what I meant. Because they didn't know what taros was. Anyway, I was able to find that dish couple times but then I lost my way to find it. If you like Mexican food, I think this is the place to go. more
