Worst

We took our 3 month old puppy there to stay for 3 nights. When we got her back she smelled like piss and had fleas.

I'm absolutely amazed... 6/7/2009

by the couple of negative reviews here! We've been boarding our PB at Dog's Day Inn every other weekend for more than a year now and have nothing but good things to say about it! Animal care is obviously more than just a 'paycheck' for the staff, the facilities are kept immaculate and the rates are very reasonable! Lucky starts wagging her tail the second we make the turn onto Granite Springs Road and actually drags me into the office, anxious to see her many friends! She always smells good and never brings any 'friends' home with her, whether or not she has been groomed prior to pickup. As indicated above, the only negative I see is the small window for pickups on Sundays. We not only would, but in fact have, recommended DDI to friends. more

Never again 1/14/2009

I boarded my dog for approximately 10 days and gave specific instructions on feeding since she was on a special diet. I also gave the staff 6 different phone numbers to call if there were any issues regarding my dog. When I picked her up, she had lost 1/3 of her body weight and the staff informed me that she refused to eat, so they fed her hot dogs (not once did they call any of the numbers to advise me of this). This caused an immense amount of GI issues for which she was hospitalized. As a side note, the ""fluffy"" of ""comfy"" blankets they say they give to the dogs...don't bank on it. more

Great Kennel 8/22/2008

Loved this kennel. the staff is absolutely thenicest people and the facilities are great. I left my dog there for a week and I would call every day and they would always know who my dog was and would gladly give updates. The dogs go outside twice a day in their big yard and they always match dogs according to age and energy level. One of the best kennel I have ever taken my dog to, will definitely come back. Pros: great Staff, facilities and price Cons: It is a bit too far from my house :-) more

Great Play for Little Dogs 6/18/2008

Pepper was only 4 months old and full of energy, but needed to be boarded for a week. Dog Days Inn was very comforting in discussing their services and letting me know how they could make Pepper feel at home. He was running and playing within minutes of his arrival with the other dogs. The staff was on key with housekeeping in the yard and the inside area. When I picked him up on Friday he was groomed to perfection and excited to see me. With all my hesitations, I am glad Pepper and I had the Dog Days Inn experience. more

Dog's Paradise 5/3/2007

My husband and I have been bringing our 3 German Shepherds to DDI for five years. We travel extensively and wouldn't dream of leaving them with anyone else. Our three are allowed to stay together in a super huge indoor/outdoor kennel (with AC), and they get excited the moment we turn onto Granite Springs Road. All of the girls who work there are friendly and really love the dogs. We like the Sunday courtesy pick up hour, and especially the fact that if you miss it, the price is the same on Monday morning until 11:00 AM!! Our dogs are groomed on every visit and we have never once been disappointed. It's a beautiful facility!! more

dogs had a good time 4/27/2007

We have been taking our two 80# lab mixes there for the past 2.5 years, longest stay 1 week, avg stay 2 nights. The previous review said the dog smelled when it got home; what do you expect it's a kennel with lots of dogs! All in all, our dogs appear to have a good time. Yes they smell after a few days there, but we have been starting to get them groomed and nails trimmed without any difficulty and they look and smell great. Weekend stays are a pain because they charge a full day for Sunday and you can only pick them up between 4-5pm. We will continue to take our ""boys"" there and trust they are in good care. more

Owner Message
  • Welcome to Dog's Day Inn, where our goal is to provide your best friend with a safe haven, where you will know they are comfortable, loved, and in fact, having the time of their life! Come on in for a quick tour of everything we have to offer, because, yes, we are the very best!!! Here at Dog's Day Inn, we believe that pets are another member of the family. That's why we do everything we can to make your pet's stay here as comfortable as possible. We understand that some pets have special needs and we are prepared to do whatever is necessary to make their stay enjoyable, be it spending extra time with the shy or formerly abused, feeding extra food to the underweight or finicky, or playing extra hard with the youthful and vivacious. While we do love animals and are prepared to go the extra mile, if your pet has a serious medical condition, it may be best to leave him with a medical professional. Our kennels are equipped with large indoor/outdoor runs that are heated and/or cooled. We even leave a radio on 24 hours to comfort the dogs. Each kennel has an orthopedic kennel deck at all times, and at night we have tuck-ins with blankets and cookies for everyone at no additional charge. Each and every dog will get at least two play times a day, either alone or with friends or family. We feed Native Level 1 Lamb and Rice foods at no extra charge, but if your pet has a special diet or medication we can administer it. Before boarding your pet, we must see proof of shots. For dogs, we require a current rabies, bordetella (kennel cough), and yearly booster (DHLPP). Your dog may enjoy toys and small blankets from home, but we just can't be responsible for lost or damaged ones!! We proudly welcome all breeds. No Breed Restrictions!. Boarding services are offered 24 hours a day,365 days a year! We provide a fun, safe, and loving atmosphere for your special canine friend. Your dog will be housed in one of our three modern kennel buildings in a private climate controlled suite that has indoor/outdoor access at all times. Additionally, each and every guest receives a minimum of 2 exercise sessions per day. We offer complete and gentle grooming services Tuesday through Saturday. This includes stylish clips/trims with a soothing bath using a variety of all natural products, such as flea treatments, whiteners, and conditioning oatmeal. Get a pedicure (nail trim) and for fun or fashion have your dog's nails painted or hair dyed. We also offer the option of having your pet bathed and groomed before being picked up from boarding with us. Bathing is done 7 days a week, but only for the boarders on Sunday! We have gentle and experienced groomers for all breeds, large and small. Grooming services are also offered for cats,Meow! As a special service we also offer painless and permanent I.D. tattooing. For our customers with a flair for felines, our kitty boarders have a room all to themselves, away from the dogs. Each cat receives his very own three-story kitty condo, with a bottom level for the litter box,a middle level for food and water, and a top level where they can perch peacefully
