Best

Not always quick but always friendly proffessional and competent. Keep them in your address book for sure. I have always been diagnosed properly. Highly recommended

Worst

I had my yearly check-up two weeks ago and was told that I had to come back for the results, specifically of the HIV test, as they can't give that except in person. I have just sp...

Decent doctors! 4/12/2006

Once, I had injured my ankle and my parents took me to DOCS in Yonkers, NY. They were caring and skillful. The nurses especially were great. I never really had to wait that long there. But it can be a drawback if you are bleeding or in pain. more

Very Convenient, but be ready to wait 12/8/2005

If you are feeling ill and need a doctor that day and don't have a regular one or your regular doctor cannot see you, DOCS is a great alternative. The waits are long and can range from 30 minutes to over 2 hours pending on the time of days. I suggest you either go in the morning when they first open, that is get there before they open because there is always a line of two or more people waiting to get in. Also, the afternoon and early evening tend to be good times to go. After 9am, plan on waiting though and the same around lunch time. They also take appointments, but just not same day appointments. The doctors here are really good and they are always nice. They see you quickly, but give you a decent exam and usually something to help you out. They take most insurances. But like I said, be prepared to wait with a lot of other sick people in the waiting room. Check-in can be frustrating at times too. more

Walk-Ins on Saturday accepted! 8/5/2005

This is a medical services chain affiliated with Beth Israel. I went to this facility on a Saturday afternoon with a friend who had the flu. As you might know, trying to find a doctor on a weekend or a Saturday in Manhattan is not that easy, and without making an appointment it's probably quite impossible. DOCS takes walk-ins and the wait isn't that long - about 1 hour . Not having gone to very many doctors in Manhattan, it's difficult to say how it compares. The fact that they take walk-ins and are reasonably fast seems to be the main selling point. more
