My mom, 3 year old daughter, and I stayed at Pop Century in February 2006. It was the first time any of us had ever stayed at a Disney property. We fell in love with Pop Century...

Fun Value Hotel at Disney! 4/16/2006

Here is the thing about Disney World and the hotels, even if you can afford to stay at one of the deluxe hotels you hardly spend any time in your hotel room. I'm someone who is not sure it is worth spending $400 a night on a hotel room I am basically only going to sleep, shower and change in. If you agree, Pop Century is a great choice- it is a value resort, but you are still on Disney Property so you will still be in the Disney Magic. While it is not the most sophisticated resort, I found the rooms to be clean and comfortable and the grounds were well maintained. The decor is bright and large outside and not everyone's taste, but it is fun and whimsical! more

Not one of Disneys Best 4/15/2006

This is one of those cheaper hotels by Disney. Its way out in the middle of nowhere and you have to ride the bus to get to any of the themeparks. It has a weird cheesy motif to it and kinda reminds you of a hotel. Granted, this is really meant for the family who have little little kids, not a place for adults with older children. The price is good though, so for families on a tight budget this would be the place to go to. But I much rather go to one of there premium hotels so I can enjoy the Disney Magic. more

A great value 4/14/2006

This may sound snobby, but I don't normally consider myself to be a "value" hotel kind of girl. But the rates are Pop Century (we paid $79/night with the free dining promo) were seriously about one quarter to one half of the costs of the moderate and deluxe Disney resorts. I figured if Disney ran the property it had to be clean and couldn't be too bad. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room. The amenities were basic, but the room was clean and well furnished. Pop Century has their own bus line to all the parks, and while the lines were sometimes long it was a nice perk to have (next time we're renting a car though). We have a room in the 50s section and it was a short walk to Everything Pop. The theming was sort of fun, my young son really enjoyed checking everything out. We liked it so much we'll be going back this fall! more

A wonderful, magical way to spend your Disney vacation! 4/9/2006

My mom, 3 year old daughter, and I stayed at Pop Century in February 2006. It was the first time any of us had ever stayed at a Disney property. We fell in love with Pop Century. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were great, the atmosphere was magical! I like to call the decor "delightfully tacky". I loved the huge icons and the brightly colored buildings. The gift shop was fun to browse through and there was a wide variety of foods in the food court. Our best purcahse was the refillable mugs. We purchased 2 of them at $12/each and we more than got our money's worth. You can fill them as many times as you want with pop, apple juice, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and our personal favorite- frozen coke or frozen punch. We would fill them up in the morning and take them to the parks with us (we had a stroller, so we didn't have to carry them). Pop Century has a great bus system. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus at the resort. If you're looking for an inexpensive way to stay onsite at Disney, Pop Century is your resort! more

Top Notch! Totally Disney! 10/3/2005

Staying at this resort was the best time of our lives. We were a little nervous because we had never stayed in a value resort before, and we were afraid it wouldn't feel as magical as some of the other WDW resorts, but it was great! We felt the magic and the fun for our entire stay, from the second we woke up (with a Mickey wake up call) until the second we went to bed (watching the bedtime stories on the TV.) We got a great package deal, so it only cost us $55/night which is unheard of for WDW. We can't say enough great things about this place and would highly recommend staying here, and have to everyone we know! more
