Dieter J. Moya DDS

I went to Dr. Moya after reading so many good reviews and I was very happy with him and the work he did on me. He extracted 4 wisdom teeth and by the next day I already felt better. He gave me enough medicine but I didn't even have to use it since the pain was minimal and the ibuprofen was enough. His staff were very nice and reassuring and every one seemed to get along with Dr. Moya (his staff also seemed very happy to be working there). Also, they have a great selection of magazines so I didn't mind waiting a 10 minutes for him to see me. I think it was a little pricey but his staff helped me fill the claim and broke down costs for me. I think Dr. Moya was a little loud but not necessarily in a bad way...it was rather funny. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this doctor to everyone. The surgery went great and after my follow-up visit I was on my way to a healthy recovery (no dry sockets and no infections). more

Despite the fact that I have heard good things about this Dr. I still needed to know who I have treating me... Honestly I do not understand why someone, anyone would like to have a pure JUNKEE working on them. So I have heard his skill as surgeon overrides his arrogant reputation but in this case I would rather go see the most arrogant Dr. before I see this person who so calls himself a surgeon. He seems very personable but is not. He treated me with great disrespect after refusing to do surgery on me after I had scheduled a month in advance. He also treats his employees poorly and talks to them in condescending ways. I wouldn't have gone to the trouble to write this review if it wasnt true... more

My 20 year old daughter had a broken and decayed tooth that had to come out. She suffers from severe dental anxiety and was 6 months pregnant at the time. Dr. Moya was very gentle with her. She could not be sedated, but he took his time, coaxing and conjoling her through the process. The tooth broke into several pieces and it took quite some time to get it out. My daughter made it through the process only because Dr. Moya continually reinforced her, telling her how well she was doing and how proud of her he was. We had been told by an endodontist not to bring her back because of her anxiety, but Dr. Moya had so much patience with her. We recommend him to anyone. more

After reading the other review I was very surprised on what she had to say. I went in for a consult and had xrays done. The xrays I'm guessing weren't correct and the assistant had me retake them. This wasn't not the problem the xrays weren't not uncomfortable and took no time. Once I was back in my room awaiting for Dr. Moya again. I could hear him yelling at his assistant, my daughter was with me and was scared to see him again. The assistant came into the room and pulled up the new xrays and I could tell she was crying. She continued to apologize for the inconvenience. We assured her it was no problem to us. He walked in and gave his assistant the meanest look I have ever seen...If looks could kill! I think he should treat his staff with respect the same way they treat him. more

I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed at once by Dr. Moya. I went in for surgery friday morning.. I was shoe shopping that afternoon. No dry sockets, no pain throughout the whole process. And he did not drug me up afterwards, mostly Ibuprofin. What more can I say? FOUR removed at one time with no trouble?! I think that speaks for itself. Amazing. more
