There are no words to describe the experience at the Dharma Yoga Shala. It has changed my life in so many ways-I am so great full for the opportunity to have a true teacher such as Chandra Om so close. Her life is an example of selflessness, humility, devotion and service. If you are interested in the classical, traditional teachings of yoga this is the place for you. This is a beautiful spiritual community, I've never found anything like it before. It is very welcoming and warm. more

Dharma Yoga Shala is the absolute best place to find true authentic traditional yoga. You will find the spirit of love, care, devotion and dedication for yoga from each class and every teacher. If you are looking for a place to call ""home"" please bring your yoga practice here. If you are interested in becoming a yoga teacher you can't find any other intense training in our area. After being at the school for a very short time, it became apparant to me that this was the most respected school in all of NC. Not only is it the quality of instruction without the watering down of the true teachings, but so many classes I went to I would see other teachers taking class there! It's awesome. I would talk to some of the 'teachers' I saw taking class there, and they always said, ""this is the place. It's not as well known as the more glittery centers--it's more of a hidden jewel, but this is where every teacher of yoga comes when they want to take class"". But don't let that fool you. It is high time Chandra and the Dharma yoga school are on citysearch!!! This is true yoga at it's core and everyone who I know has studied with Chandra at one point or another. To have this calibar of teacher teaching in Raleigh North Carolina is a HUGE blessing. I'm spoiled forever, but in the best possible way.
