Even though I had a rocky start, after 6 porcelain veneers I can say that my life has completely changed and I just adore my smile. Ive been seeing the doctors at Dentiq Dentistry for almost 2 years now. My initial visit was to inquire about porcelain veneers and to learn more about invisalign. Dr. Johnson required me to get a 3D scan (im thinking, why? and, is this really necessary) before consulting with me about porcelain veneers. Turns out that I had a huge abscess that I didn't even know about. She told me that I would need to have the abscess resected before anything cosmetic would be done by her hands.\r \r First of all, what dentist even has a 3D scanner at their office? Ive checked, and the answer is almost no one does. Dr. Johnson testifies that this technology protocol is part of Dentiqs quality assurance to take great care of great people. Secondly, how often does a cosmetic dentist see a cosmetic patient, whos wanting a cosmetic treatment, and then the cosmetic dentist does the due diligence to ensure that this person is clinically healthy BEFORE doing the cosmetic treatment? I dont know the answer to this, but I do know that Dr. Johnson is one in a million. \r \r I had the abscess resected. I waited for four weeks to heal. And then I had Houstons best cosmetic dentist - Dr. Johnson, give me exactly what I wanted, the smile of my dreams!!!\r \r I can not thank you enough. The only doctor in Houston that could help my TMJ. I will never forget, this was the first time that any of the specialist actually had the technology to look at a 3 dimensional image of my joint anatomy. I don't know if its a difference in doctor philosophy, diagnostic and treatment technology or the cummulative combination, but I got the feeling that she was investing in me, and she's made all the difference for my quality of life - I am forever grateful. Excellent Cosmetic Dentist...\r \r My previous so-called ""cosmetic dentist"" referred me to Dentiq for some specialty work (a dental implant and a root canal), while I was there, I shared what my ""other"" dentist is doing for me. It turns out that I didn't necessarily need to go to 4 different doctors offices for my treatment. Comprehensive dental centers, such as Dentiq, offer every discipline of dentistry under one roof by absolute professionals. I asked Dr. Johnson if she would complete my cosmetic treatments... my question was met with high integrity as she denied to consult with me about a treatment plan that a ""referring"" dentist is working on. With that said, she only had good things to say about my current, referring dentist. Long story short, I told my current, referring dentist that I would like Dentiq to take over the rest of my treatment and that I would need her endorsement if Dentiq were to accept me. What was she going to say... she was actually very supportive and acknowledged that extensive cases like mine really should be under the care of a comprehensive dental center. I just wanted to give a special thanks to the best dentist i have ever encountered. I went to Dr. Johnson with tremendous tooth pain that was supposedly ""fixed"" by another dentist in houston. Dr. Johnson went through my complete history, took x-rays with what looked like the latest x-ray equipment and went over all of my options in detail. I was almost embarrassed to be taking up so much of her time with my never ending questions. We decided that the best route to go was an extraction of my tooth and dental implant surgery. I went in on my scheduled appointment and was seen right on time. The staff was extremely nice and really made me feel as ease. They all deserve raises!! I decided to stay awake for the dental implant procedure. Dr. Johnson numbed the area and went to work. She, too, spoke to me throughout the procedure to keep my calm (no fair, Dr. Johnson, I couldn't laugh or respond!!). The extraction and implant procedure was quick and for the most part painless. Later that night, Dr. Johnson called to see how I was feeling. I told her I was a little nervous because I didn't have any pain at all. She chuckled and said that was a good thing. Here's to you, Dr. Johnson, for letting my chew on my right side again. Thank you for everything. You will forever come highly recommended. A Very Impressive Dental Office in Houston! I had been going to my family dentist for 20 years and was fed up with antiquated dentistry. I took a leap of faith and decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Johnson. In a matter of 4 months, she fixed 14 cavities - something my old dentist never told me about and never bothered to take x-rays of. It used to take me over an hour to get numb and then I would still feel the drill. That's no longer the case. The office staff and everyone else in there is simply top notch!
