We went to Dart Bowl tonight for a fun family night. Unfortunately we had a nine year old with us that was 1/4 of an inch over their 52"" height requirement for the bumpers and since she hadn't bowled before it was really no fun for her. To make matters worse there was a boy three alleys over in lane 8 that was clearly taller than her and using the bumpers having a great time. Management could not offer any reason for this random rule (clearly enforced at will) except she had to learn sometime how to do without the bumpers. This was not a good family experience. My daughter's friend said it best when she said ""they really don't want kids here"". more

Cafe Serves Cold Food, Staff Rude 4/22/2009

I ordered chili fries and when they arrived, they were cold. I asked for a new batch and instead of bringing me new food, the waitress REHEATED THE FRIES IN THE MICROWAVE. When I asked for a manager, they said she wasn't there and that I needed to come back tomorrow if I had problem. I returned the next day to speak the to manager. She was very nice and offered me a refund. Pros: ok bowling Cons: cold food and rude cafe staff more

Great place to bowl! 9/9/2005

This is the only bowling alley in Austin that I choose to bowl at. The service is always excellent and helpful. The lanes are always just right, and the atmosphere is very laid-back and comfortable. I truly love Dart Bowl! more

Kudos to Dart Bowl! Their prices are reasonable (compared to the local competition), and the facility was clean and organized. From my initial phone call to the facility, to when we settled our bill, Dart Bowl's staff was the epitome of professionalism. The gutter guards and televised graphics of the score are ideal for ensuring that children (as well as beginners) are able to enjoy themselves, rather than being frustrated by ""gutter balls."" I would suggest that you arrive early, to avoid the crowd. When we arrived, there were only a few people bowling. By the time we left, the lanes were rapidly filling up with other bowlers. This is the place I bring my kids. Great food. Good Lane availability. Great house. Pros: Lane Availability, Great Food Cons: Not much elbow room, leagues crowded more
