I love this place. Got nipples pierced, a tattoo by cheese, and my bf got a PA. I felt so comfortable here and like i was in very good hands. Cheese and Miro (piercer) are so professional and great at what they do. I will definitely return here for any future body mods! more

Do NOT let someone talk you into something you don't want, as Cheese did with me. I went to Dandyland on the recommendation of a trusted friend, and was sorry I did. Maybe if I had gotten another artist... WHo knows? So, I sent ""Cheese"" my peacock pattern, and told him I wanted a realistic looking tattoo, with loads of color. He said he specialized in realistic, though he had a drawing for me that looked cartoonish. It was pretty, though nothing like my design, and he talked me into it. My fault, my responsibility entirely. I should have been more insistent, but I do believe in giving an artist some artistic liberty. He assured me it would look more realistic than the drawing. Three hours later, I had a partial outline of a stylized (not realistic in the least) peacock. While it was certainly pretty, it was nothing like what I had sent him. Now, the more I look at it, the more I hate it. It almost looks more like a phoenix than a peacock, and it looks as though it is folded in half, as opposed to flowing with the contours of my body. The neck is too long, and the face looks like some flash I've seen. I'm very sorry that I let Cheese talk me into something other than what I sent him, though I have someone else willing to try to fix this mess. The moral of the story, DO NOT LET SOMEONE TALK YOU INTO SOMETHING THAT HE WANTS. Yes, ultimately my fault and my own responsibility, because I let him talk me into it. more

Cleanest place to get a piercing. They know what they are doing. Amazing tat artists. I've spent many years wanting a tat but needing to be 100% sure it was perfect. (That means little or no room for error from an artist). I have no hesitations letting any one of those guys ink me. So far I've only gotten the one tat (many more to come) and my only regret is that since its on the back of my neck, I can't stare at it all day. Haha. Actually love it there...but it is so fluid...blending into my skin as if I was born with this beautiful piece of art as a birthmark. I hardly know these guys...but they are good enough to have their own show and tour the country if they wanted to. Definately feel 100% safe with them and plan on going to them for my next 12 planned tats. more

i went there years ago to get a piercing by miro he was very nice and clean, atmosphere was great and you knew you were going to leave with the best quality especially in San Antonio, i would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality work! more

First off this is the absolute ONLY tattoo shop I have been to that asks you "How can I help you today?" Customer service is more than top notch! Miro is the Piercer/manager and their is no one in the city as knowledgeable as him. Also APP certified which most piercers do not have or want to attain. All artists there are amazing!! I have two japanese sleeves that I got there. Josh did the work. He is ridiculously talented as well as Miles. My wife's back tattoo never popped like it does now thanks to Miles. It may not be cheap and you may have to wait a week or two but I guarentee itll be the best tattoo!! more

I was lucky enough to walk in a be taken right away. Ray did my tattoo and he did an awesome job. The place was really clean and they were very tight on sanitation (I think he changed gloves like 5 or 6 times throughout a 3-4 hour session. I brought in an idea of what I wanted and he was able to make all the little changes till it looked just right. I would totally recommend them to anyone in the San Antonio area looking for quality ink at a reasonable price... more

This place is amazing! If you give them a GENERAL idea of what you want, they can draw out a beautiful design for you! And they're great people. Me and two of my other friends went in for tattoos all at the same time and they did great jobs on all three of us. They were reasonable with the pricing as well. I would recommend this place to anyone! It's clean and comfortable. more

Unlike most places, Dandyland is not a walk in pick some wall art and your done. You go in talk to them let them know what you want give them a design or they will make one for you. Then make an appointment.I went in with my own design. It was over detailed and had to be some what tweaked. But the overall design was there. Josh was the artist who helped me. Now they do get booked far out, so if you want it now right then and there then this is not your place. My appointment was about 2 weeks from the date I went in. But it was worth the wait. I could have not asked for a better tattoo. After seeing how well it came out I made another appointment for a cover up. Which I got about 2 weeks later. This one was done by Josh. I told him what I wanted, he drew it, should it to me and we went from there. He captured everything I was going for. Also for a cover up you can hardly tell. All the artist can be very helpful, it has a OK atmosphere. It can get boring. Prices are very reasonable. Some more

We went to get a tattoo from "the best" tattoo parlor in San Antonio and were told (by the front desk guy) that the design my wife wanted (she is no stranger to tattoos) would not look good and that "the artist" would recommend something better looking. I understand an artist desire for creativity (I am an Architect with a great understanding of art knowledge and design history - probably more extensive than these poseurs), but the client is also important. Miles fixed a crappy tattoo and made it look kick a$$. He's very good at Kanji, does it perfectly (my husband is japanese and was very impressed by his caligraphy). Pros: Has an awesome artist-- Miles Cons: It's on Bandera and really far from my house. more

I had a tattoo done elsewhere several years ago and it was not done very well and I had wanted it redone for several years. I met with Miles and he took a drawing of what I wanted and took picture of my old tattoo and then created a new tattoo to cover it. The drawing he created was perfect and when he finished the tattoo I could hardly see the old tattoo and if you didn't know I had one you would not be able to tell. What can i say about Dandyland their artist Miles and staff were very professional and I loved their shop and the whole atmosphere. I found the shop by research and I'm so glad i did i have work within the month again with Miles for another tattoo. I used to get art work done at DIVINE LINE TATZ but recently they have lost my interest that's all i have to say about that.Well Dandyland keep up the good work i do beleive you have made a cusotomer for life :). This place is the only place in San Antonio that is credited by the APP. Walking into the shop, I could smell the sanitation. The floor was even sparkling. Paul was the one who did my piercing, and he has been piercing body parts for the past 10 years, so he's really good. Pros: Extremely Sterile Cons: A little hard to find more

They have a ton of artwork for you to choose from, or you can bring in something original. They also have a wide variety of body jewelry. They don't open until the late afternoon, and it does get pretty busy so be prepared to wait. It is a very clean shop, and they give you paperwork explaining the whole process including caring for your tattoo or piercing while it heals. more
