Best

always good. great sandwiches, pizza and cheesecake!

Worst

The food is great but it does not makeup for the horrible service. Pros: food, cheap Cons: parking, service

My food was wonderful and on time! My order was correct to a T with quite a few specifications from me. The only thing I did not absolutely love is that I requested that they call and not ring my doorbell and the delivery person ended up waking up my roommates. more

All around good job. The pizza arrived in only a half hour!!! This was less than estimated by about 20 minutes. It was hot and fresh when it got here and the delivery guy was nice, too. I liked the pizza, and the service so much I ordered from here again tonight . . . more

Dagwood's Pizza is very convenient. The pizza is good. Not the best I've had but for a quick lunch it suffices. Their sandwiches are a very good size and very fresh. Polite delivery person. Overall, I would say that they are not bad. more

i will definitely come back. 5 stars was not a hard decision. Both cashiers were extremely busy yet very attentive. Easily helped steer me in the direction of exactly what I wanted even thought there was a line behind me. Very nicely exchanged the glass of wine my friend thought was bad with a smile. VERY NICE STAFF!! This was my second time here and the pizza was amazing (cooked perfectly too) but I will be back for sure too because of the employees more

Dagwoods is the best pizza on the westside, probably the best in the whole area. We have been customers for 15 years more

I rarely get pizza anymore since I've changed my diet and stayed away from bread/flour products for so long, but in 2009, I had a few pizzas here and there, and this place was good. I've never been inside, and I think parking is very limited to just one small lot. I recall getting BBQ Chicken pizza and BBQ Chicken Calzone. I don't think I got anything else. Usually, nowadays, since toppings are far out better than years ago, I usually get BBQ chicken or chicken of some sort on top. \r \r Everything was good. I ordered again a few more times but then realized I needed to cut the carbs because I didn't want to gain weight. \r \r Still, the food was really good. I wasn't disappointed. Quite possibly it's the best pizza in Santa Monica, or one of the best, and its the only pizza place I've ordered from in Santa Monica. more

I really enjoy the fresh salads and the customer service is GREAT! Calvin is a pleasure to talk to. more

Cool people working there. Great bread on the hot sandwichs - crispy on the out and soft on the in - the eggplant parm sandwich was perfect.\r \r Go for 'pizza by the slice' rather than a small pie if you aren't sharing. Thin crispy east coast style. more

Been coming to Dags for probably close to 10 years. Solid New York style pizza, good calzone, good philly cheesesteak, F'ING AWESOME WINGS. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about those wings. They even offer a fair amount of salads and pastas that are decent. Garlic bread is whatevs. more

great pizza! i love the stuffed pizza that looks like a calzone? Oh yeah the stromboli\r That is really tasty. You just need to do an extra workout to burn it off but its definitely worth it. more

Great memories of really good, if not simple, sandwiches. Served wine, beer, pizza, and some pastas... but I always remember their sandwiches. Yum... man... yum.\r more

Bad pie, bad attitude 10/31/2009

Been ordering from Dagwood's for 7 years (more location than the price or the food), but no more. We were delivered a soggy, undercooked pizza (for $26 bucks?) and when we called ""the manager"" said it was because of the mushrooms. (Not sure why that makes a pie undercooked). Then he asked ""what do you want me to do about it?"" (Since when is it on the customer to solve the problem). The only thing NY about this place is the addytude (sic). I'd rather slap sauce and a velveeta on toast then put $$$ in doughboy's pocket. Told he was losing a longtime customer, ""Mr. Manager"" had no worries ... Wonder if the owner feels the same. Pros: learning not to order from there again (only $26 bucks) Cons: Lousy service, generic food more

Swing and a miss? 5/28/2009

Just be careful what you order. The pizza's been good about 80% of the time. However, we ordered a white pie the other night and the spinach was clearly from a can or frozen. Not fresh in the least, which ruined the pizza altogether. I know times are tight, but fresh vegetables on a pizza are a no-brainer, especially if you're advertising such. I'll be trying out a few other joints because of this. Pros: Overall Good Pizza Cons: Lame Pasta, Not Fresh Ingredients more
