Prompt, friendly, efficient, expert 8/2/2022

During the recent heat wave our A/C quit. We anticipated a long, sweltering wait for service, but Nick was there the very next morning, diagnosing the problem and restoring service. He gave us his personal contact information for a prompt response in case of setbacks. Further, he provided instruction over the phone for a work around to keep the system going until the problem was definitively solved, which it was on his follow up visit the next day. Great job and superb interaction with grateful customers. more

Service not complete 6/1/2022

The service man came to fix to my AC by replacing a new capacitor. He told me that I need to schedule another appointment for coil cleaning which I did. I was scheduled on Fri 27th between 8-9. However nobody showed up. I called and was told the service man could not make it and I have to reschedule which was on Monday, the 30th of May. I was even promised that there will no more rescheduling. On Monday someone called me and said the service man run into emergency and I have to reschedule again. I am so unhappy about this and do not like the way they are conducting and treating their customer. more

Prompt and good service 1/28/2021

When we had trouble with our new heat pump, the techs were great and came out quickly After two visits the problem was fixed We are now purchasing a second heat pump that went out just days after the first. more

Best in The Business 11/2/2020

When we move to Virginia we had another company doing our installation and PM on our furnance and A/C, when the System broke down and we had to replace it our former company gave uf a quote that was out this world, call DM Select Serivce and the install a new Furnace and A/C that they have maintained ever since. Their service has been the best that we have had in two Coast, their employee are the friendies also. We would probably never leave them. It is hard to image another company that is this good. They are NUMBER ONE. more

Air conditioner repair service 6/25/2020

DM Select Service provides reliable, trustful and good service. We had the air conditioning unit installed by the company two years ago, and now, when problems happen, the company sent technicians to help resolve the problems right away even though currently everywhere is impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We really appreciated the service and will keep considering to have the company to replace another air conditioner in the house. Delin Zhou more

Maintenance service 4/29/2019

Andrew was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He arrived on time to perform the requested maintenance service as scheduled. During the time he was here he found an unrelated problem and he corrected it immediately while already in our home. From beginning to end this was a great service call. Steve Hylton came to fix our AC, he was right on time, VERY friendly, knew exactly what he was doing, and cleaned up the area. DM Select Service Review 8/26/2017

Andrew set up my replacement system up. Larry & Kyle did the work. Price was excellent for the system installed. I pulled 4 quotes and DM Select was best. Work was completed in a few hours with no hassles. The house now has fully functioning a/c. I'm happy with the results. The guys are all likable and respectful. I couldn't ask for better service. I'll recommend them to my friends and family in the area and will use their services again! more

Outstanding knowledge and customer service 4/12/2017

After 20 years with a heating and cooling company, I have switched to DM Select Services. I have now had them out for both systems, and I am deeply impressed with their attention to detail and care for the customer. On this last visit, for A/C maintenance, my technician Steve found two areas of concern that had been completely glossed over by the prior company who had installed and maintained the A/C. It was a terrific experience. Highly recommended! more

Quick and effecient 3/15/2017

Had a problem with the central heating blowing hot for a few minutes then turning cold. It was the first day of our nor'easter so wasn't expecting anyone to come out. Select Heating came out and Steve was excellent. I told him the problem and he went right to work. Half hour later and 3 parts replaced, he was gone. Heat has been working ever since. Thank you and I will recommend your company AND Steve H in the future. more

  • How did you get started in the HVAC & Plumbing business Dan?
    I started working for a local plumber when I was 19 years old. The owner, was the most decent man I know. He treated everyone fair and honest. That experience laid the foundation for my desire to own and operate my own HVAC company the exact same way. While it’s not a big secret, people just want to be treated fairly and honestly. If you do your very best to deliver that day in and day out, success will follow.

    My father owned an HVAC business, which I began working for in high school. Dad didn’t play favorites, he had me start at the bottom and work my way up, through every single position. From helper to managing the company, he was my role model as a father and as a mentor in business. He built his company on the desire to always provide good service and do an excellent job for every customer. Which is at the core of all we do at DM Select Heating and Cooling. Having that laser focus in common is the “why” behind Dan and I becoming business partners. It helps guide every decision we make, every day.
