Wow 3/25/2006

I've been training here for a while now. The workouts don't come close to anything I've tried at a gym. I'm in the best shape of my life even at 30, and crossfit has helped in getting me there. more

Very Effective! 3/23/2006

Great way to workout with real results. Troy is an expert and truely passionate about helping others to achieve their fitness goals. more

Crossfit Reivew 3/23/2006

I have been using the Crossfit facilities for about a week now and I can say that the experience is nothing less than amazing. Troy is a very personable guy who is willing to help you with technique and give pointers when ever he sees fit (which is very frequent). I am hoping to get back in shape and Crossfit appears to be the best option I have ever explored, unlike the gimic ""get fit by doing nothing"" routines that others try to sell. more

Crossfit is a great experience. You get much more personal attention and instruction, and the work-out routines are constantly changing so you never get bored. It is excellent overall and highly recommended. more

GREAT Workout! 3/23/2006

This is a great place to work out if you are advanced body builder or a couch potato trying to get in shape. Troy will work one-on-one to help you master the proper techniques without the embarassment of being out of shape or inexperienced. Also, everything he teaches can be done without expensive equipment or training! He has developed a toning and shaping program that works with anyone! Pros: Inexpensive, Uncroweded, Great staff more

WOWZA! A STEAL OF A DEAL 3/23/2006

What a gym, this is exactly what I have been looking for a place where I can break away from the same old routine that I never did before anyway. Do you like getting on the treadmill with everyone else then waiting for a machine to open up then trying to avoid eye contact with the steroid freaks in the free weight area at your regular gym. If so, this is NOT the place for you, but if you want quick, fun, and always changing workouts in a supportive group environment then this is the place for you. Don't worry though, try it out for free on Saturday's and see if you have what it takes, if you do, you still don't have to worry because there are no contracts, and no membership fees, if you decide to stop coming so does your money, isn't that how it should be? Pros: Personal, Convenient, Great Value Cons: No Showers more

Crossfit Plano 3/22/2006

I have really enjoyed the challenge of crossfit. I am learning exercises that I will be able to do in my home, in the gym or on the road and I will be able to do for years to come. I have been amazed at the things I have been able to accomplish in just a few months working out with Troy. Pros: Flexible Membership, Fun class enviroment more

Great Place 3/11/2006

I think this place is great. I had all the stuff I needed to get a good, quick workout in plus some stuff that I hadn't thought of. The training that I got was informative and very helpful. I can't wait to go back. Pros: great equipment more

Hardcore training for hard living folks 3/10/2006

As a US Marine, I am often considered in 'great' shape as viewed by civilians and military personnel alike. However, since training with Troy at Crossfit Plano I have realized I am anything but. Crossfit's workouts are intense and they reveal your weaknesses, but with Troy's passion and expertise in the area of workout design and his advise concerning training technique, progress is fast and furious. Crossfit's methods are directly applicable to military, law enforcement and firefighting applications and all other weekend warrior hard-living types. Come ready to be challenged, humbled, encouraged and inspired. 2nd Lt. Brian Abrams, USMC Pros: Flexible schedule, Proper Instruction, passion, knowledge more

Quick, yet difficult, fun workout 3/7/2006

I took a group class this morning and found out what an intense workout is all about. There were 3 guys and 2 girls with varyin levels of fitness & the workout was designed for our levels. The gym is quite different than your average health club. They don't have any machines and just use free weights and body weights, along with monkey bars, rings & rope climbs. We spent the first 10 minutes warming up & then spent the next 30 minutes learning how to do handstands & how to squat properly with just our own bodyweight. We then moved to the main workout. I have come to realize that I am not as fit as I had originally thought - actually, not even close. My weaknesses have been revealed & my poor all-around fitness has left me beaten, yet hungry, determined and focused for more. Pros: Personlized training, Inexpensive, Fun Cons: No showers, Small changing area more
