When I first got my truck repaired at Crazy Joe's, I was really impressed. Phil was extremely pleasant and friendly, and I didn't think he was charging me a lot to fix what turned out to be a simple problem. However, the next time I went there, I asked that my air conditioning system be repaired. After looking at the car, I was told that I also had a bad ignition coil, and due to the position of my engine, the labor was going to be more intensive to get that fixed. But at the time, I had a little extra money, so I authorized the repair of both the air conditioning system and the coil. I wound up paying almost $900 for both repairs, which took them around 4 days. When I picked up my car, the check engine light immediately came back on and the car was shaking all over the place as if the coil had never been repaired. I took it back and was told that a second coil had gone bad. However, I did not find THAT out until a week later, when, after several calls to the car dealership to find out the status of my vehicle, I was finally told what the problem was, and that they had done the repair without even having called me to give me an estimate and get the repair authorized by me first! I thought that was bad enough, but when I picked up my car, they told me they'd driven it into New Jersey to pick up parts for the dealership in order to ""test drive"" it after the repair. Does anyone else think this is insane or is it just me? So I wound up paying another $400 to not have my car for over a week, have it driven into another state without my permission, AND a few weeks later, my air conditioning system stopped working!
