Great Food, Great Character 9/9/2011

Honesty is the key indicator of character. I left my credit card at this location and when I realized my mistake, I went back and the manger had safe guarded my card and presented it to me with a smile and no expectation of reward. That is character. more

Good idea? 3/2/2010

I have tried to give Crazy Fire the benefit of the doubt but no matter what I try or the several times I have gone I have gotten sick after each visit. It is pricy and I don't pay to make myself sick. Cons: Price more

Always something Different - Great for lunch 10/8/2009

Love eating here for lunch. You can load up your bowl as high as you can. It is fun and easy. Sometimes a hit or miss on seasonings, but that is also part of the fun. Priced pretty well for what you get. You can get 1 bowl or all your can eat , but you have to be a pretty big eater to have to go back. Pros: Value, experience Cons: can be tricky finding good mix if you are not a cook more

Simply amazing 5/21/2009

I had never been to a similar place, where you can select your victuals and get them cooked in front of you... In fact, it took me some time to love this place. The reason being, you have to (it's a must) be creative in making your dish. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they are bad!! Do complement yourself when it turns out to be great.. Pros: Be creative and have fun!! more

Awesome Experience, Best Mongolian Restaurant I've Been to! 2/5/2009

Alot of the reviews are right about the lighting, I was very dim. Where else can you play with your food? This is my favorite restaurant, my (6 year old) daughter's too! I have to admit it is not a 5 star restaurant and it not as clean as I keep my kitchen, but I never have had a bad experience yet! I love to be able to be creative. I had made some GREAT combo's, but I have made some bad ones too! I would definately recommend to all my friends!! Pros: Great Food, Great Price (for all you can eat) more

Food was terrible, restaurant dirty 10/1/2008

I took my family to this restaurant. The food was so bad we could hardly eat it and I had to take them to the cafeteria over in the next shopping center just to get something to eat. I was embarassed for making such a poor choice. My family loves asian/thai food. This place was a disaster. Cons: terrible food, dirty restaurant more

Ingore the bad reviews! This is tasty! 9/13/2008

OK - so maybe this is not the ideal place for a quick in and out for lunch. I haven't been there for lunch. Pros: It's all good! Cons: It is a little dark in the place. more

the worst restaurent i ever seen before 7/20/2008

ok first of all cleanless,no custemer sevice at all plusand always chech your statement because the total what they charge u for ,it`s not the one showing in your statement and u can check if u didn`t believe me more

Prices are tooooo high for a lunch buffet....Takes too long from start to finish to actually eat your food! 4/15/2008

Very disappointed in the pricing! I've been a customer for years, brought my friends and family and introduced them to your establishment. I firmly believe they are taking advantage of the consumer and will be looking to take my business...and friends elsewhere in the future! Pros: Food cooked the way you like (most of the time) Cons: Too expensive for lunch, restaurant needs updating badly, slow service : ( more

Good food, crappy service 1/18/2008

This is about the CF in Raleigh........ My friends and I used to go there once a week...... The food is still excellent!! But the service is terrible!! I was told they changed management and since then the prices have gone up and the service is not good. Now when we go we have to plan a 1 1/2 hour lunch because the waiter/waitress forgets to bring us our bill. (We went there today and on Wed. and it happenend both times!) The only reason I go anymore is because of the food. The bathrooms make me mad, too. They are very clean..... but... I have been going there for over 3 years now and the same light in the bathroom flickers so bad it makes me dizzy when I walk in there. The best part about the whole place is the cooks! They rock!! They are the ones who should be making the money!!! They are the only ones doing any work!!! more

Great food, easy, fast and yummy! 8/9/2007

We eat there quite a bit. The food is always good and it is easy and fast to go there with my kid. The downside is it is pretty expensive for a 3 year old, I say $6.95. Pros: Good food, fast service, cool to watch your food cooked. Cons: They need a kid's price that is more reasonable. more

Good experience 8/5/2007

Good atmosphere for a family outing. We made different combinations with the available sauces and don't forget to add the dry spices for some real flavor. The buffet bar was kept clean and the area replenished. Waiters a bit eager for their tip and came around the table a bit too often...it was Sunday night though so they were not full. I'd go back again but next time for lunch when prices are even better. Pros: Clean buffet area, fun for large group Cons: playing 80's rock music, portable fans blowing more

not bad 7/4/2006

This is a fun place to eat, but dont go to crazy fire without an empty belly! You get all you can eat. Also, dont even think about using the mild sauce. It is REALLY spicy! more

Great service and food 6/11/2006

Although they have had some problems with the Health Rating a few times, we enjoy eating here and are able to always put together a great dining experience. Nader, the manager, is a fantastic guy and is very concerned about his diners' enjoyment of the restaurant. If you order the buffet(mandatory in the evening) they do not mind if you do not eat a dish that did not come out to your liking, and opt to prepare a second attempt. I am able to prepare a take-out dish that is enough food for two to eat dinner for $6.95. more

Lots of Fun & Yummy - lacking atmosphere 4/28/2003

This is a fun place to eat -- you make your own dinner & then watch them cook it. Someone else complained that you only get one bowl, then can't take home leftovers. Maybe that's the case for lunch...but for dinner, it's all you can eat. (which does mean no leftovers) The atmosphere here is definitely lacking, but the one is Raleigh does have better atmosphere. Try to avoid busy times, because it can be slow waiting to go through the line to make your food & waiting for it to be cooked. If you end up having your food cooked at different times than everyone else in your party, you'll end up eating at your table alone. Pros: Fun, Good food, lots of choices Cons: not good atmosphere, avoid busy times more

Great concept, good food, poor service 3/17/2003

Crazy Fire is a neat place... I keep going back to try a new concoction. The nice thing about the mix-your-own-bowl concept is you get all the advantages of ""cooking"" yourself without the hassles. However, CF's service leaves a bit to be desired -- all the waiters have to do is fill drinks and bring the check, and they are extremely slow at doing that. When I needed a drink refill, my waiter completely ignored my ""wave"" and I had to stand up and go get him as he chatted with a buddy. Hardly appropriate. Pros: Selection, food quality Cons: Service more

Mind Crazy 2/2/2003

Very Good Food, Wonderful, Good sevice, Nice People, good place for kids more

If you like leftover, forget it here.... 1/2/2003

The biggest turnoff about this place was the fact that if you pay for 1 bowl of food, whatever you don't eat, you cannot take it home with you. I can understand if you get the buffet option and you are not allowed to take the food home - but when you pay for a specific amount of food (i.e. 1 bowl), whatever the contents of that bowl are mine once I pay. When I asked for a to-go box, they said we don't allow that. What!!!!? So they are essentially saying that I cannot take the food that I paid for home with me and they are simply going to throw it into the garbage anyway. What a waste of food and simply a stupid policy. The food was great by the way but I think this major flaw alone will keep this place from ever succeeding. more

crazy...crazy...fire.. 12/9/2002

Simply the best of the mongolians around the area. Larger variety of meat and veggies, great cooks, one cannot go wrong... more

Excellent service, food, and price 9/18/2002

This restaurant was great. They have all the raw meats and vegetables you can imagaine as well as the spices and sauces to compliment your selection. When you take your bowl to be cooked the cooks are entertaining and the waiters are top notch. All for only $9.95 (all you can eat). Pros: Inexpensive, Good Service Cons: Not romantic, dark more
