One Chance for Customer Service 3/19/2011

Recently my wife, daughter and I visited the Crab Quarters. It was our first visit and last. You have only one opportunity for customer service and they Blew It. When we walked in the door I explain to the young lady that this was our first time visiting the establishment. I’m a person who values the money I spend, so I value customer service. After being seated in an un-crowed restaurant it took 7 minutes for a waitress to come to the table. Once she did arrive we simply got up and left. This is an establishment who needs to take a class on time management and customer service. more

Great Steamed Crabs!! 8/21/2010

Ordered a crab pretzel and a dozen of extra large steamed crabs to celebrate the end of summer. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had to wait a little because of the crab pretzel, which was perfect, hot and delicious! The crabs were excellent. Spicy, hot and heavy. They even threw a couple more in. Will definitely go back! more

Skip This Place...! 3/17/2010

I wouldn't give this place one star but I had to chose something! First, the service was terrible. The young waitress spent most of the evening in the bar area flirting instead of tending tables. We had to make several requests for basic items, like napkins, and eventually had to ask another waiter. When it came time to order crabs, we were told we can only get females if we order take out...no explanation on why. So, we ordered a dozen of the males. When they were brought out, they were cold and tasted like they had been sitting out all day. One person at our table ordered the Seafood Platter. All the food was tasteless...except the fish which tasted like it had sat out all day too. After about 10 minutes, we were finally able to flag down the waitress (literally...my husband had to wave her down from the bar area), we finally ended our nightmare. We would definitely NOT dine at Crab Quarters EVER again! Cons: Everything more

You should try Crab Quarters 11/3/2009

Growing up in the area, I have consumed my fair share of steamed crabs. However, I have lived in Los Angeles for the last 15 years where blue crabs are few and far between. During October when I was in town on business, I was tempted to go to one of the big name resturants for crabs, but the Crab Quarters was close to my hotel so I gave it a try. The waiter was friendly and humorous. The cream of crab soup was delicious, and the crabs piping hot and seasoned just like my mother used to make them, (or at least close). I travel to Baltimore about once a month, and I plan on eating there at least one night when I am in town. Pros: Excellent Crabs, great service Cons: Parking Lot is small, crowded more

go to crab quarters ask for joe 1/10/2009

Go to crab quarters and ask for joe, I am the new chef as of 11-08. I do not doubt some of the bad reviews about service and i cannot help that but I can promise you this: if you walk in Crab Quarters and ask for Joe in the kitchen and tell me you read this online (or any one for that matter) you WILL have a most favorable meal, delicious delicate and attractive because this is what I do and everyone is VIP to chef Joseph Lookingbill. I do not put up with mediocre food especially when people are paying good money for it. See you at Crab Quarters and good-eats to you all. Pros: attention to detail in kitchen more

Best crabs and food in Maryland 11/17/2007

I have been in this restaurant numerous times, most recently with a party of ten. We had various appetizers, dinners, and steamed crabs. The new chef at Crab Quarters does a great job with the lunch and dinner specials, we've had both. On the rare occassion we have had one or two light crabs, but usually the crabs have been full, large and heavy. They have always offered us a large variety of desserts, which we have sampled. The wait staff made us feel comfortable and at home, however sometimes they are extremely busy and we are more than understanding. We have been dining at Crab Quarters for at least ten years and plan to continue. Each occasion has been a pleasant dining experience for our friends and family\r Sincerely,\r Lynnette Pros: Quallity of food, crabs, and service Cons: Parking sometimes crowded more

Worst Crab House in Baltimore 6/25/2007

I organized a party of six people from all over the state to have dinner at Crab Quarters. In the past the crabs have always been hot, big and tasty. Well, for the second time this month, service was nonexistent and the crabs were obviously reheated ($65.00 per dozen). I complained and the cook said they were fresh crabs (of course he's going to say that). I told the waitress as she was streaking past me by the restrooms that I was very disappointed in our food. I will never, never go to this place again. People were leaving because there is no service and the food is terrible. We got several appetizers and all of them were awful. Never again. . . I'm going to Schultzes. Cons: Parking, service, food more

Beware of this laying seller 6/8/2007

I call for a pick up an hour ahead (and told them so). As soon as I showed up, they said, oh, it would be in a minute and they take my payment immediately. Then waited another hour! No warming.\r \r I was stuck because they had already charged me. And everytime I asked they said, oh, it would be soon. I was getting anxious about the wait. The waitress told me they sold my crabs to someone came earlier. They don't want to wait. \r \r And btw, my husband, my daughter, and I all got violently ill with horrible stomach problem after eating their crabs. Yuck! What a rip off! Don't be the next victim! \r \r Btw, I sign up an account for this just so more people can avoid beeing fooled by this horrible place. more

Customer Service is the pitts not sure how they stay in business..... 5/16/2007

I would just like to say that I will never eat at this place again in my life and recommend that you don't eat there either as I have told my friends and family about the awful service that the Crab Quarters gave to me and my family, unless you are white that is what I said white as all the other customers in the Crab Quarters was at the time we were there the fact we were the only ones of color in the place and we had to ask for everything, napkins, bucket for the crabs, silverware, we were never offered any refills on drinks except for one waitress did offer my aunt one but not the rest of us. We order a doz of crabs they brought us 11 and had to remind the waitress twice about the missing crab but the real issue is when the waitress spilled coke all over my white pants and all she could say was sorry can I get you a coke on the house? What? Please send the manger over, well Sabrina the so called manger said she was sorry and she would pay for my pants and I told her that the cleaners would not be able to get the coke out and ask for the owner?s business card. I called the owner Jim Myrick on Monday May 14,2007 and told him about the issue at hand and would like by pants replaced he put me on hold for 10 mins came back on the phone and yelled at me that I was compensated by taking the stakes off our bill I said No Sir we ask them to take the stakes off because the were too tough he yelled at me there was nothing wrong with the stakes and go wash your pants and hung up on me, so I called back and his hostess said Jim phone he yelled I don?t want to talk to her and they hung up on me again. I?m not sure how this place stays in business with this kind of owner but I would never recommend this place to anyone. Please keep in mind that the owner Mr. Myrick was not on the premises when this happen so how can you tell me that there is nothing wrong with the stake? more
