Country Brook Kennels

Last week I brought my five year old mix-breed dog, Tucker, to Country Brook to get groomed. Because my dog is a rescue dog, in the past, I have had horrible experiences with various groomers, as my dog tends to get scared very easily. Having been politely asked to not return to other local groomers, including Stillwater, PETCO and Tiny Bubbles, I called Country Brook with not very much optimism of getting him groomed. Even after telling them about my past experiences, they had me coming in the very next day. \r \r When I brought my dog in, I was greeted with very friendly staff. Because Tucker was shaking so badly when he got there, they invited me to stay with him while he was getting groomed to help him feel more at ease (something they did not allow at PETCO). I did end up leaving the room; however, I spent the remainder of the time perusing through their fabulous selection of dog items. While I was there, they invited me to peek through the windows behind the counter to check on how Tucker was doing. I was shocked to see how well the groomer was doing with Tucker. They spent over an hour grooming him and even managed to cut his nails, something that I have always had to bring him to the vet to get done because nobody has ever been able to do that! I cannot say how impressed I am with the results and it cost about half of what PETCO had previously charged me. \r \r As someone who has tried numerous groomers around the area, I can honestly say this place is the best! We will certainly be back! more

Well, I boarded my dog overnight and was NOT happy the next day when i went to pick up my dog to see one portion of his daily feeding returned to me! I specifically told the girl who checked my dog in that he WAS NOT fed dinner due to it being two early- so she replied ""Okay-I'll make sure he is fed!"" The next day (late afternoon) at pick up time-I was informed he hasn't been fed dinner yet(which was fine) then when i was handed the food back-I was puzzled as if he was even fed at all today?? So i asked. The owner replied ""yes, i fed him this morning."" So i said ""well, then he wasn't fed yesterday when i told the girl he wasn't fed dinner! I put each portion of his feeding into separate bags and there's still one in here!"" her reply was ""well, my girls were her until 11pm last night!"" Well-I was wondering....do you think you could have fed him sometime in between 3pm-11pm??!! So i PAYED them to take CARE of my dog-and yet they neglected to do so!! This is completely unacceptable considering that's the service they provide-To take care of your dog!I Also noticed my dog immediately went to his water bowl when arriving home! So was he provided with water?! more

I have been boarding and using daycare at Country Brook for the last 4 years. We travel alot and my dogs love it there.We also love the daycare and the large play yards. The place is not the most fancy in places but its always clean and the staff go out of their way to make sure your dogs have a great time and are kept safe .fed and clean. The daycare hours are the longest around. I agree there is places with couches and tvs but this place has great dog yards and fun. I tried the fancy places and came back cause the care was far better and my dogs get so excited to go there. The staff and owners go out of their way for special requests and they are open 7 days per week so I can pick up any day I need. Try them once you wont be sorry!! The owner of Country Brook Kennels, Bonnie, was rude and unprofessional with me when I recently picked up my dog after having her boarded. I was appalled with her lack of customer service skills. I requested from the friendly girl that answered the phone, if I could pick my dog up after 5pm. She said that was fine as long as I was there by 5:30 and I would have to pay $30.00 for the service, which I was willing to pay. I was there on time and Bonnie confronted me with a very rude attitude, telling me that people who own businesses have lives too and I should be more considerate of that. I told her that she was out of line and I was paying extra for a service she offered. She continued to be rude, and expressed that she didn't care if I was dissatisfied or that I ever came back there. I loved bringing my dog to this kennel as all of the employees were wonderful and took great care of my pet, though the owner treated me in a way that was completely unacceptable. I will never use their services again nor will I recommend anyone else to use them either. Pros: Great facilities and employees, minus the owner. Cons: Terrible customer service from owner. more
