The physicians are great but the staff is HORRIBLY RUDE. Wendy, the front office manager, is one of the most unpleasant individuals that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, and I have been working in the customer service industry for 15 years. The ENTIRE office staff follows her bad example. They roll their eyes at you, huff and puff for simple requests, will laugh in the phone when you ask a simple question. It's really too bad, because the physicians are excellent and truly care about the patients. But dealing with the office staff makes the experience horrible. Find another pediatrician's office, one that actually cares enough to smile and provide basic levels of customer service. more

Our family has enjoyed this office since moving to Madison. They have always been friendly and helpful. They are available when needed. more

We have now gotten to see all of the new doctors at cornerstone. My girls love seeing Dr Lawley and Dr Tatum. My son sees Dr Denny. The wait times are only long in the winter, and they will always see the kids on the day that we call. more

I really appreciate same day sick visits...I also have enjoyed the new office; it is so nice to have split well and sick side waiting rooms; Dr Cartwright sees us for well checks; my children love to see him and the nurses more

The doctors have taken excellent care of our boys over the years. I highly recommend this office. The nurses always remember us by name, and the front office staff has been great to our family. more

RUDE RUDE OFFICE STAFF. 2 months ago my son had a 105 fever. I immediately put him in the car and rushed to the doctor. On my way, I called to get the answering service at 11:40 who advised they would be at lunch until 1:15..quite a long lunch break you think? So I am extremely upset worried about my son..I get a nurse on the phone and explain my son has a 105 fever--she tells me that I will need to come back after lunch...YES THAT IS RIGHT I TOLD THEM MY SON HAD A 105 FEVER AND THE RESPONSE WAS TO COME BACK AFTER THEIR HOUR AND HALF LUNCH. After an argument they agree to see my son. There were MANY MANY people in the office-nurses etc...they took his temp and it had gone down...I am already there and they made me come back after 1:15 with my sick son. HORRIBLE experience. They asked why I was leaving the practice and had someone call me who was rude rude rude.....just a bad experience. It is a shame because Dr. Vancleave was very good to my son when he saw him for his check up year. I more

Dr. Van Cleave is great with kids, plus takes takes the time to explain complicated treatment options. He also listens. All the doctors have been good. We always get an appointment when my son is sick. The office actually called me when they noticed that my previous pediatrician had missed a vaccination. We just schedule our well visits in advance. All the pediatricians in Madison are busy. more

The first visit we had at this office we were asked to pick a doctor. At the time we didn't know anything about them so the receptionist suggested one (the newest doctor they had of course). I don't like the word hate so I'm going to say we strongly disliked him. He seemed very uninterested, very short with us, and could not answer a basic question I had without looking it up. Our son had some health issues so we were advised to make the next available appointment with the next available doctor to check up on his condition. This visit we saw a different doctor that we loved. He was knowledgeable and seemed like he was there to do his job (help people, not just collect a paycheck). We then told the staff that we'd like to change primary doctors to which we were told that we couldn't because we were stuck with the first one that we saw even though we did not feel comfortable with our child being "cared for" by him. Needless to say we took our child elsewhere. more

Agree with the previous posts. Rude office staff, so overbooked can't schedule well visits or immunizations. We are looking for new pediatrician since our babies can't even get in for their immunizations!!! RIDICULOUS! Why would you have to work in your patients for their well check ups?!! more

The physicians are great...however, the office staff is not helpful, they are awful about returning phone calls to schedule appointments. They are just downright rude with HORRIBLE customer service. \r \r Too bad a good group of physicians has such a RUDE group of workers. more

We just moved here from Texas and have been really disappointed with the office staff. Our daughter was bitten by another child, breaking her skin, and we were put on hold for 15 minutes (twice) in an attempt to speak to a nurse. Our daughter, who is allergic to eggs, was given a flu shot in the office. Then, we were directed to take her to an allergy Dr., where our doctor had written a note asking the allergy Dr. to give her a flu shot. (apparently not checking her chart to see that they had already administered one). The office staff scheduled our daughter's well-check before her birthday, even though we asked if this was OK at the scheduling. Then, when we came for the visit, we were told we would have to come back a week later to get her vaccinations since she cannot have them before her birthday. This office has resulted in wasted time for us. We know that there is a shortage of pediatricians in town, but we would expect better care. more
