Best

We celebrated our anniversary at the Chef's table and we were not disappointed. Scott and his staff were friendly and fun. We felt like they were old friends by the night's end....

Worst

I was so disappointed in my recent visit to this restaurant. Our waitress was knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions, but it took us forever to get her attention, and ...

Best new neighborhood restaurant 3/16/2005

We've waited a long time for a restaurant this good in our neighborhood. The Corner Table cooks up excellent meals with fresh, often home grown food. The menu changes monthly, just enough time to try everything on the menu, and the wine list varies as well. It's a fun atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff, especially good at suggesting wines for your meal, and they will open any bottle in the house if you purchase two glasses, a great deal. We eat out regularly and have tried most restaurants in town, but we hardly go anywhere else anymore. For excellent food, well prepared, there's no better place in town. more

Loud 3/6/2005

I miss n.e. thyme. Corner Table is in the same location, but just doesn't measure up. n.e. thyme was intimate; Corner Table feels crowded. n.e. thyme seemed comfortable and familiar; Corner Table tries to be trendy. We (4) visited on a Saturday. The restaurant does not accept reservations for fewer than 6 people so we arrived early (6:30) in order to keep the wait down. Our wait (at the bar) was a mere 30 minutes, but by the time we were seated there was no room left to stand in the waiting area, which was spilling into the dining area. It was extremely loud, almost to the exclusion of our ability to converse. The menus promised more than the kitchen could deliver. We each ordered a different entree, and each of us was disappointed. In short, we liked the wines and coffee, but weren't impressed by the food or atmosphere. Pros: Wines, espresso Cons: Noise, lack of value more

highly recommended 2/1/2005

We love this place...and end up going a few times a month for both dinner and weekend breakfast. I guess I don't understand the previous review, because we've never had trouble with the service. The smaller menu changes often (always has something for everyone) and I don't think it's possible to get higher quality food given the prices. (and the wine list is fantastic - not just your typical bottles). Pros: food quality/menu, wine list, ambience Cons: can get crowded more

Worst Service Ever! 1/12/2005

Service was the worst we have ever had! Waiter set the table for 2; told him 3x there were 3 of us. We were 1 of 3 tables at the time. He took 2 of our orders and put his tablet away. When I spoke up, he took my order but did not right it down. I told my family it would be wrong and it was! The eggs over easy that I didn't order were left in front of me to look at until the scrambled eggs came. We asked for a roll before our meal (twice); it came after our meal and was the wrong kind (they have 2). We were never asked how our meals were and not acknowledged when we left. We will never go back! more

What a major disapointment 1/3/2005

Service was honestly the worst we have ever experienced. Waiter was so awful - didn't describe menu, practically scoffed at our order, made us feel uncomfortable. Food was equally disappointing - small/unsatisfying portions that wouldn't have been so bad if they had any amount of flavor. I'm surprised at the rave reviews read in newspapers and magazines because it couldn't have been at this same restaurant. Place is cute and has potential, but I'm certain we'll never go back. Pros: too few to mention Cons: , food more

Wow! 11/28/2004

I was really thrilled to see a new restaurant occupy that old, horribly decorated N E Thyme space. Upon entering I was amazed at the transformation of the restaurant. I was also greeted by one of the chefs through a new window that lets customers view the kitchen. The food was amazing! Not only was everything tasty, but also portion sizes were not too big and not tiny. Ingridient quality was very noticable. Prices were also very approachable and puts this restaurant into a catagory like no other. I tried two different glass pours, both under $10. I didn't recognize any of the ""usual"" bottles and was very fond of their use of small operated vineyards. I think it only makes sense for a small neighborhood restaurant to use winerys that are also small and unique. Pros: great food Cons: , sound can be loud more
