Comet Cafe

Stopped in for a Sunday Lunch (Bruch) and had a Very disappointing meal. Had the comet bendict, the biscut was stone cold, the gravy was cold the only thing warm was the sauage link. The side of hash browns was just a little warm in the center. Almost like this sat before being served. The wife's meal was warm and fresh. In addition to this the mens room had no hand towels and no Tolet Paper. All in All a very bad experence. Would I go back again, most likley not !!! more

Bacon on sundays, after 6 pm! Bacon for Breakfast! Bacon especially good in the Bloody Marys! Seriously, this place used to be just a plain old coffee shop, now it's a bar and breakfast joint featuring cheap, really good food in a cool environment. Again, I recommend the bloody marys- though you really can't go wrong with anything there. Remember to get there early for a plush booth. more

For anyone on the East Side who loves coffee and fresh sandwiches/desserts, Comet is the place to be. They offer great service and wonderful atmosphere with art work from local artists and just a pleasant place to hang out with friends or alone when you need to focus on your work/writing/etc. Comet offers everything the expert coffee drinker needs. Check it out!!! more

I love the newly remodeled Comet on Farwell, on Milwaukee's east side! After being closed most of the summer, this popular coffee stop re-opened with a new improved more restaurant style cafe, complete with booths and new menu items, as well as its other side, a cozy bar. I recently stopped in, and found the service at the bar to be quick and friendly. I sat at the bar, but next time I will make sure to snag a booth! I wasn't able to try any of the food, but I did get a menu, and saw that though they have kept many of their old sandwiches (the Cheesey Tomato is one of my favorites) they have some interesting different things as well. The only thing that that is really different is now if you are 21 you can't be in there past a certain time anymore. more
