I recently moved to Park Slope and had been getting my salon services done at a much pricier spot in Manhattan until I decided to try Clinton Nail Salon this weekend. I got EVERYTHING done and was very pleased with the service and price... a break-down by service is as follows:\r
\r
Nails - the spa pedicure + manicure with basic polish was only $24 and Anna really took her time and did a nice job.\r
\r
Facial - this was my favorite part of the day... Lily performed my facial, which included a steam cleaning, black-head extraction (yuck!), clay mask, moisturizing treatment and even a face/head massage (all-in-all it lasted almost an hour) for ony $40.\r
\r
Massage - the massage was the only part I was a little disappointed in - - Lily performed this also, but with all the knots in my shoulders, I really prefer a more deep-tissue massage, and this one was more realxing (typical spa-style)... it was either $40 or $50 for an hour.\r
\r
Waxing - Judy, the self-proclaimed ""wax-master"" and salon-owner performed my under arm and bikini-wax, about which I have no complaints. A day later I have no residual soreness or readness (last time I got my under arms done elsewhere they hurt for days afterward)... and the price was around $25 for the bikini and $10 for the underarms.\r
\r
All in all, a bargain at $150 for all of these services, which would have cost me at least twice as much at my former popular salon in Manhattan!
Pros: friendly staff, don't rush you through your appointments
Cons: could have used some music in the facial/massage/waxing room
