I have a toddler and a 4 year old that attend Children's Choice. The teachers come and go often - generally the good one's leave pretty quickly. The communication is inconsistent...

Best Child Care Center in Centennial!! 4/1/2008

I would like to say that I really think this is a great school. The teachers are amazing! My son is in the 4 year old room and LOVES it! The teachers a very caring, and attentive to his needs and I am continually schocked on his knowledge at 4 years old! ( He was telling me the other day about the ""earth spinning around to make it dark and its called ""rotation""..HE IS 4!!) To me that is an AMAZING teacher! The directors are very open and honest about any issues you may have and encourage you to come and talk to them. They are always at the front desk or available no matter what time I arrive for my child. To me that shows they are commited to the parents as well as the teachers. My child always comes first at this center and I could net be happier!! My opinion?? Best School around!!! Pros: Warm friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, Great Directors, amazing teachers, GREAT value Cons: None. more

We love this school! 3/30/2008

Our 3 year old son has been at Children's Choice Fox Ridge for nearly 3 years now and we have just LOVED IT! The director has always been very straight-forward and honest with us and we really appreciate that. She has always taken quick steps to solve any problems. The rates are competitive and the owner is open to direct contact and responds quickly to our needs as well! That is a huge value to us.\r \r Also, our son has always loved his teachers and he looks forward to going to school every day. He has learned SO MUCH and is absolutely thriving there! He continuously amazes us with the things he is learning. The education there is top-notch and he is very much loved ... we can see that every day, not just in his current teachers but in all of the staff.\r \r Even though this CC was under different ownership when our son was an infant, we love the current infant teachers (one of them was there when under the different owners) and trust that our new baby will be well looked after when he gets there this fall. Will he be picked up every time he cries? No, but nor would I expect him to get used to that! Ask any mother with multiple children to look after how hard that is. However, I would expect that each child is attended to and engaged in a timely manner whether content or not. Some days are probably more harried than others, but every time I've gone back there over the last few years all of the babies seem happy and content and well-cared for!\r \r No daycare is perfect and it is sad that a few people have had bad experiences, that is to be expected in life, but before anyone makes a choice about attending this school or not they should visit the school and talk to other parents. There are MANY of us who have had EXTREMELY GOOD experiences with this school and would highly recommend it! It is always wise to get a wide variety of opinions and make your own decision. Good luck! Pros: Director/owner involvement, staff/teachers, cleanliness, competitive rates more

Highly recommend! 3/19/2008

My son goes to the infant room at this daycare in Castle Rock. I decided to move him to Children?s Choice in Castle Rock from other facility because this facility was very clean, but his caregivers are not capable of giving enough attention to him. At the first I didn?t like that everybody was wearing outside shoe in the infant room, but I know the fact that his caregivers are very loving and giving him enough attention and I realized that any caregivers couldn?t not give everything because they are not me but they could give him a lot of kisses and hugs which he has been receiving from them. Sometimes the ration is not 1:3 as advertised because of their time schedule conflict, but I can see that they try hard to take care of children as much as they can. At the other facility I could feel that caregivers had preference on children, but at the Children?s Choice in Castle Rock I haven?t felt it at all. I have decided that I overlooked little things I don?t like since my son has been getting enough attention, love and kiss and his caregivers are nice people and genuinely loves children. Don?t you think that this is the most important to your kids? Pros: Caregivers at the infant room Cons: Cleanness more

Avoid this daycare center! 2/22/2008

My son started going to Children's Choice on Colorado Blvd. when he was 2.5 years old and went there for 5 months. In the 5 months: 1) three of his teachers left; 2) my son never started to like this place: he cried every time I left. The only reason he went there was b/c I could not find any better place for his age (several great day cares we looked at had a requirement to be potty trained). One time I overheard one young teacher telling another ""I hate my kids, they are evil"" (she was talking about kids in her class and it was a joke, but still there's no excuse for saying things like that in my opinion). And I agree with a previous poster: what a shame for Leigh Graham (who was a director of this center at the time my son went their) to write a review pretending to be a real parent! Cons: high teacher turnover ratio, very young teachers, not enough supervision more

not recommended 1/21/2008

There are 2 things funny about Leigh Grahams post!! Number one: she is the director for the castle rock children's choice and number 2: she does not even have a daughter. My son was in the 2 year old classroom and absolutely hated it! He cried everyday when I dropped him off. I thought he just had some separation anxiety but when I changed him to another child care facility, he cried the first day and has never cried since. I would not recommend this facility to anyone!! more

Would not recommend~ THE ONLY GOOD REVEIW WAS WRITTEN BY THE DIRECTOR OF CC IN CASTLE ROCK!!!! 11/14/2007

My baby is in the Lambs at a different CC. CC promises lower ratios. However when I drop of my baby, the ratios are always over. It seems as though everyday there are multiple babies crying because they need fed/cared for. But the teachers are too busy with other babies to attend to all of their needs. It is really hard and sad to walk in and see this poor little boy crying his head off because he's hungry and the staff is too busy to feed him! I was there for at least 15 minutes and this poor little boy was not even picked up to make him feel better. Is that how you want your hungry child treated???? My baby does not cry often, so rather is left in a swing or crib without any attention because he/she does not cry out for it! A baby needs stimulation. Adults who respond to infant signals and needs build infants' self-esteem and physical and cognitive abilities. Also, This facility has trouble keeping track of my baby?s day, his diapers, pacifiers, naps, bottles, EVERYTHING. And its amazing how when I ask a question, no one seems to know! This can be VERY frustrating! I dont want my baby wearing community diapers that are 2 sizes too small because the staff is incapable of keeping track of things that are clearly labeled.\r With the ratios being off this leaves children left in swings too long, being left in cribs long after waking up, or before they are even sleepy and They are left upset and hungry, or even just lonely for far too long! Babies also need a constant change of scenery to stimulate their minds. Quality and frequency of adult-child interactions are critical variables in infant care. As a mother I want to know the staff is doing everything they can to make sure my baby is happy and satisfied! \r The center director seemed genuinely concerned with issues, however she does not seem to stay on top of the issue afterwards, to make sure everything stays top notch. As with any parent, I would like to have piece of mind when my child is there. As of now, I don't. Pros: Director, Positive Potenial, Homely Feeling Cons: Ratios not followed, Parking, Security, Daily sheets, Cleanlyness, Interaction is Poor more

This is not a recommended daycare center from my experience! 8/5/2007

I would not recommend this school to anyone. My son was injured when he was one years old and they did not know what happened. 3 people at the school had several different stories that occured. The classrooms are extremely overcrowded with very low supervision. I had my son come home with bites and scratches on his face and body almost every single day. When I would drop my child off there would only be one teacher to about 15 children. I pulled my child out of this school and he has never encountered these issues since then. more
