A good friend recommended that I use Chez Bloom for my wedding flowers, as she had a good experience with them. So I met with a florist and planned out everything that I would need. I decided to use large, single calla lilies in vases as centerpieces. We had a discussion about what type of vase would be most appropriate, as I was buying them the next day (the florist made a point of recommending sturdy, heavy, 9-12 inch vases that would not tip with the weight of the large flower). Everything seemed to be working out well, except I was having a hard time getting an actual list from the florist of everything that I ordered. She sent me an email, which I replied to with corrections (number of pin-on flowers for men, women, grandparents, etc). She never sent back a confirmation, even after I called and asked that she confirm my changes. The day that I paid for the flowers, she punched a bunch of numbers into the register and presented me with a reasonable total. When I asked, she again could not present me with an itemized list of each flower/arrangement that I had ordered. She said that she would email it to me. I should have payed attention to the major red flag the day I paid for my flowers... Fast forward to my wedding day: a friend picked up the flowers for me. Everything was beautiful... with one exception: I had received a bouquet of very small calla lilies... these things were about 9 inches tall... shorter than my vases. I called Chez Bloom, thinking that they could fix their mistake. The woman who answered the phone (who was not the florist that I had been working with) said that no, this was not a mistake, and that large calla lilies were not even in the store! She told me that this is what I had ordered... clearly it was not. I told her about my conversation with the florist, and buying big heavy vases to withstand the large lilies, and the extra charge of the large lilies, but got no where with the woman on the phone. She finally stated that she would subtract the difference in price of the small calla lilies from the large calla lilies (after I told her that I had paid EXTRA for the large lilies) and credit it to my card. My card was never credited. There was no time for me to get other flowers for my center pieces, and I did not want to waste energy on this situation 2 hours before I was to be married. Chez Bloom should have fixed their mistake, and in the very least followed through with crediting me for flowers I paid for but did not receive. Obviously I should have never given this flower shop money when they could not easily produce an itemized list of my flowers, that was my mistake. I would not recommend using this shop to anyone, as I feel they were unprofessional and I was treated rudely.
Pros: Pretty arrangements
Cons: disorganized, poor customer service
