Thus far I have been to Glen Meade for 4 prenatal visits. At each appt. generic testing has been pushed, and I have declined on paper twice that I do not want the testing, and verbally at each appt I have had to decline it. My first ultra sound was perfectly normal and I'm not a high risk prego, so I really feel there is no need for this to be mentioned and pushed at every doctors visit. I had asked Dr Jones if there was any benefit for my baby to having any genetic testing done and her vague answer was, it can help you better prepare if there is something wrong. Not a very good answer, in my opinion. I only see a monetary benefit for the doctors office on pushing the genetic testing. This has been a major turn off, I'm switching to a doctors office that doesn't feel the need to hassle their patients.
