Perfect Shopping Experience--On a recent visit to Cameron Village with my daughter we stumbled upon an amazing shopping experience. We were at Cameron Village to look an interview dress for my daughter for a high school pageant. First stop Charlottes...never had been there before. We were immediately greeted by sales associates offering assistance if needed. Although the entire staff was helpful Sharon was our personal associate. She really went beyond what was expected to help us find the perfect dress and accessories. Literally we loved everything in this store...from the baby items to personalized gifts to shoes/apparel. We have already picked out quite a few items for Christmas presents and future purchases. I appreciate the kindness of the entire staff with all of our shopping needs that day. Your opinions were obviously perfect because my daughter won the pageant.:) I have and will continue to recommend this store. The only downfall is that it is an hour from my house...worth the trip!:) more

I highly recommend Charlotte's for anything you need for you wedding! The girls there are so helpful and will really take the time to sit with you and customize the special touches for your wedding. I was able to create a fabulous custom invitation for a fraction of what some other stores had quoted me. I also got all of my bridesmaids and groomsman gifts and my wedding bands from Charlotte's. The store always has such a happy atmosphere that makes me want to keep coming back! more

Since moving to Raleigh, Charlotte's has been my go to store for wonderful gifts! I love how they have everything from the perfect baby gift, graduation, wedding to a special piece of jewelry and an assortment of clothes that are fashonable and well priced. Now they even have a beautiful assortment of stationery and invitations. The staff is friendly and helpful. I always feel welcomed. They always call me when something they know I would like or have been looking for come in. This customized service seems to have been forgotten but not at Charlotte's! One time I was in Atlanta and knew of a piece of jewelry they had in stock that would be perfect for my sisters 40th birthday. I called and the professional sales associate offered to send me a picture to confirm which necklace and then proceeded to handle the entire transaction making things as easy as possible. Three days later my sister received a beautifully wrapped necklace and was thrilled. It was the icing on the cake for such a special birthday. Charlotte's is a perfect place to shop. I highly suggest this retail establishment to any savy shopper! more

I love going into Charlotte's because the ladies that work their make me feel so special. They always know my name and ask about my children. They are willing to spend the time to help me find the perfect gifts. more

I absolutely love this store! I moved to the Triangle in the Fall of 2003 and from the first time that I walked into the Store I knew that I would be shopping there all of the time! Not only do they have fabulous Jewelry, Clothing, and Accessories, but I am also able to buy all of my presents there! The service is phenomenal and the gifts that you are able to buy there are so unique and absolutely Gorgeous! Even though I am not from the Area, the owner and the staff quickly learned my name and is always so kind and friendly when I go in to both the Cameron Village and North Hills Location! I highly recommend this store to everyone!!! Whether you are buying a New Handbag, an Engagement Ring, or even looking to Register for Gifts for your own Wedding....Charlotte's is the Place to Go! \r ***Also, just as another note....When I got engaged I went into Charlotte's to Register and I was able to get everything for my Wedding at 15% off! Charlotte's is like walking into Times Square and seeing the bright lights for the very first time. It has a wonderful buzz to the atmosphere and everyone in the store has sweet southern charm. What a great place to get quick gifts and fabulous jewelry in your local hometown. more

Charlotte's is truly, as everyone says, a one-stop shop! I just shopped there today and purchased 2 fabulous graduation gifts and a personalized 14 k gold necklace for a mother's day gift! The owner helped me as she has always done for the past 10 years! She is fabulous and is always more than helpful! Shopping at Charlotte's is not only convenient but SO MUCH FUN! more

I went into Charlotte's at Midtown today and could not believe how rude the employee that I saw was. I was going to buy a very expensive pair of sandals but decided to take my business elsewhere. I will not be returning to either of the Charlotte's stores. more

I visited the Cameron Village location to buy a wedding present. The store has a lot of cute things, but the employees working there made me want to run out of the store.\r \r As I entered the store I was approached by a women who asked if I needed help. I nicely replied, no. However, she found it a neccesary to follow me around the store. It was so uncomfortable. I asked if the owner was in and she identified herself as the owner!!! I was completely shocked!\r \r Clearly the owner does not care about keeping her store in business from sales. I was so uncomfortable that I put down what I was purchasing and left!!! I will never go back again. I am new to the Raleigh area, but have shopped in many stores with equally as cute merchandise(if not better) in Southern Pines with employees and store owners that make you happy to come back.\r \r more

Obviously the people writing these reviews are friends of the owner. When I went in there - just a mere unknown CUSTOMER- I was treated so rudely I couldn't believe I was in a retail store who supposedly wanted me to buy something from them. When I asked who the rude lady was I was told she was the OWNER of the store!!! It's a week later and I'm still in dismay over the experience. There are much better shops in Raleigh - in Cameron Village itself - where you can buy great gifts and be treated nicely at the same time (not to mention at MUCH better prices!)!!! I will never go to this store again. more

I have been going to Charlotte's for years. She and her staff know me in both North Hills and Cameron Village and they are always very helpful in my search for the perfect item. I never have to ask for help......someone is always available to assist me. They are friendly and Charlotte never fails to ask me about my family. I hightly recommend shopping at Charlottes. They are on top of the ""latest"" trend and want you to be happy with any purchase you make. Pros: very friendly staff more

I visited Charlotte's for the first time this week and had the most enjoyable time shopping! The jewelry in this store is absolutely beautiful and they have incredible prices!!! I moved here from NYC three years ago and this is the first bad experience i've had in the triangle. Someone told me to go to Charlotte's for gifts. As i looked around the cameron village store a woman basically stalked me. Every time i picked something up she would look at me and when i asked to see something in a cabinet she acted extremely annoyed. To make matters worse I found out later that this woman was the owner!!! I was shocked. I have never seen such bad customer service in my life. I can't even remember what the store had to offer because i was so caught off guard by this woman's behavior. As i look at these other reviews my friends and i have to laugh. Obviously the owner has a lot of family members that have been asked to write good reviews. There is NO WAY the people writing these reviews were in the same store as me!!! Cons: Rude owner more

Charlotte's has the cutest gifts, handbags, shoes and most gorgeous jewelry in Raleigh and Wilmington. All of the girls that work there are so sweet and always go out of their way to help every customer that comes through the door. It is truly the best shop around! Pros: jewelry, handbags, shoes more

I think that Charlotte's has the best jewelry and handbags in North Carolina. No other city(they have raleigh and wilmington locations) in the state has a store where you can find wedding gifts, jack rogers, fine jewelry, fashion jewelry and great handbags. I think that all the girls that work there are super cute and super nice. They have always been so helpful in many different ways. They always have the best ideas for gifts. I have shopped at Charlotte's for 8 years and I will continue shopping there for as long as the store is around. I don't get why people are being so negative about Charlotte's? It is truely the only tasteful gift store in Raleigh and Wilmington... No others compare... not Swoozies, not Cat Banjo, not Handpicked.... just think about that. This store is rediculous. I will never go in there again. The owner is incredibly rude. The items are way overpriced. I saw a pair of earrings for 90.00 then went across the street to Cat Banjo and saw the exact same earrings for 25.00. I believe the owner has let her small amount of success go to her head!! sure, charlottes inc has great stuff, BUT their products are and can be found in every other boutique in raleigh. i tell you this because shopping at charlottes for the sole purpose of merchandise is no excuse for their lack of customer service. i have been in several times to the cameron village location and have yet to be greeted by an employee - one time two turned to watch me walk in and then completely went back to what they were doing. i find myself avoiding the store and have even warned other people not to buy from them.\r \r their return policy is ridiculous, no returns - only exchanges and even that is within 7 days. earlier in the year, UNFORTUNATELY, i received jack rogers from my grandmother which were purchased at charlottes. i went in to retrieve a smaller size and it was torture. they didn't have my size and told me they couldn't order it because of the fact ""they didn't know what was coming in"". pardon my french but, BULLSH*T.\r \r the girls who work there - young and old, are snobby and quite bitchy. if i were you, i would spend my money else where. you can find everything at charlottes within a 5 mile range anywhere else and probably for cheaper. MURVAL BAGS FOR $50.......... really? try $25. charlotte- think about the people you hire AND give them an attitude check. you have lost my money forever and thats unfortunate for you because i could buy your whole store...... twice.
