Only want to rip you off! 8/18/2011

I went to this dental office for a routine cleaning and throughout the cleaning the dental hygienist performed many tests that were not necessary, according to other dentists I have talked to and of course were not covered by my insurance. They did not inform me that these were elective tests, just said ""ok we are going to do ..."" So I ended up paying way more than was necessary and I can afford. The other problem is they said I had a cavity wedged between two teeth and tried to get me to have two fillings done there that day. When I said no and checked with another dentist, the new dentist told me there is no way anyone should be ok with concluding that those teeth had cavities and that he would not feel comfortable drilling into those two perfectly good teeth! I am glad I checked with another dentist first! They also seem to only do the newest and most trendy procedures, which many insurance companies do not cover, without giving an option for the perfectly good, but slightly less trendy procedures that your insurance company will cover. DO NOT GO TO CHAMPAIGN DENTAL!!! more

I have been under Dr. Kuo's care since he began work in Champaign, and my experience has been excellent. I have found him friendly yet thorough and precise when it comes to my dental care. The staff has been friendly and thoroughly professional. I rarely spend more than a few minutes in the waiting room. I have not seen anything like the complaints that other reviewers have offered. Neither have the other 5 members of my family who see Dr. Kuo. Don't avoid this dentist because someone had a bad day - this office offers quality care and keeps you on time. more

The family hygienist is Mandi and she does an outstanding job, not only by taking care of our smiles but doing her job with a smile on her face and making me and the kids comfortable, and that is very important ! more

I had not read any reviews before I chose them, they accepted my ins. and were polite on the phone so I made the appointment. I saw Dr. Kuo and one of the hygienists at my first appointment, I had not been experiencing any pain or problems but they checked everything anyway. I felt they were very thorough and explained everything to me in detail. I did have one cavity and they fixed it that day. I would send my friends and family to this office based on what i experienced. I never felt pressured, and they all seemed to care about what I wanted and needed to make my appointment go smoothly. more

I would highly suggest this office. 12/8/2010

I was having a toothache and they got me in same day. They took a xray and Dr.Kuo did not see anything. He checked the way I bite down and found that I was bitting to hard on one tooth and ground it down and with in 24hrs no more pain. I was very thankful they were able to help me so quickly. I would highly suggest this office. more

Have you noticed that all of the reviews for Champaign Dental Group are glowing and made about the same time frame and don't provide detail? That's because they've paid someone to leave positive reviews. If you look at the other reviews by the reviewers, you'll see that none of them are local to C-U--they're paid to place review so a business looks reputable. My experience with Champaign Dental is absolutely horrible. They tried to diagnose expensive problems without doing x-rays and forcing me to add services after I was under the effects of Novocaine. They thought my insurance money would roll over soon (which was incorret), so they wanted me to do extra things so they can get the insurance money. I've since found a trustworthy dentist who thinks my mouth is very healthy. Heartland Dental dentists are paid on commission--not what is best for the patient. more

Very nice and helpful 10/7/2010

The doctor is always very nice and helpful for what is needed for my mouth help. Dental hygienist did one I had today are always helpful and have great advice, I use. I even learned today I need to go deeper with flossing.I had no idea I needed to go so deep. more
