Best

Central Market is a great place to go, whether you want to order off a menu or create your own salad or pasta dish. It is always a great quality and I would definatly recommend it...

Worst

That's all it is - trendy. The food & service are actually nothing special. Pros: healthy Cons: yuppies

Practice makes Perfect 7/26/2002

Central Market has great food, it is fun for kids, good live music and a wonderful outdoor seating area. They have struggled in the past, however, with their service. Don't get me wrong, the people that take your order at the counter are friendly and competant and quick. It is the time that it takes for you to get your food. The system is the box that you take back to your table that lights up and buzzes when your food is ready. I have literally waited 45 + minutes for a burger! There is light at the end of the tunnel - the last couple of times that I have been there, it has been quicker and more efficient. I think that soon enough, they will get the hang of it! In the meantime, be prepared to wait - this is NOT fast food! Pros: outdoor dining, food, value Cons: parking, crowds, long waits more

Central Market is all that but... 5/24/2002

First the positives... Outstanding Meat, Seafood, Cheese, Fruits/Vegies, and Wine/Beer, coffee selections. Really all selections are good throughout the store. The negatives... Layout of the store/isles leaves something to be desired. Customer service is mediocre (excluding the meat/seafood dept.) Need more checkouts. Overall the products will bring people in. But the cumbersome layout and mediocre customer support may not have repeat first time customers. I will return b/c I love the selections but they should keep in mind customer service as well. Pros: Meats, Seafood, Cheese Cons: Isles/Layout, Customer Service more

Like no other 5/18/2002

Luckily, Central Market is expanding to places like Dallas and Fort Worth. The selections are great from jam to beer. The problem lies in the regular big grocery store items that most family use at least some of. But that is minor compared to the great walk-through experience of shopping at Central Market. And added 'thumbs up' to their informed staff. Pros: hard-to-find items more

More than shopping 5/16/2002

A great place to shop -- and look at girls. Great wine and beer selection. Great selection of cheeses too, if you're into that. They make their own tortillas. Good floral selection. Great place to drink coffee on the patio, read the paper and watch dogs play in the lawn. BUT, don't expect to find your favorite General Mills cereals, pet food, Fritos or toilet paper. Have to go to another place for your hegemonic groceries. Pros: selection, girls Cons: parking more
