Good location all the culb & restaurant on the same street..Nice place for one or two nights more

the hotel & it's employees are very accommodating & attentive. it has a nice cozy atmosphere & really looks & feels like florida. i will stay here again, & can not wait to see the smiling faces of the people that made my vacation wonderful. more

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. It is right in the heart of everything that happens in South beach. Best of all, you couldn't stay any closer to the ocean (it's literally across the street). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us great tips on the best places to go. We ate almost every meal at the restaurant located in the Cavalier. The food was great, service was good and the price is very inexpensive; especially when compared to the other places on Miami Beach. We highly recommend staying here. more

I stayed at the Cavalier Hotel for 5 days with some girlfriends recently! We all had a fantastic time! The staff were very attentive to our needs and were always glad to help out in any way! I believe I ate my self into a happy food coma on the beach with the raw oysters and seared tuna! Yum!! The rooms were large complete with closets! The hotel was very safe and right across from the beach! I recommend staying here for sure! more

Location Location Location I am from Boston and my friend and I decided to take a quick trip to Miami last minute. We came across a great deal flight and hotel $313.00 so we booked it. Before we went we read the reviews and they were not that good. After our trip and experience at the cavalier I would have to say; most were completely inaccurate. The Cavalier is in the best location you could possibly ask for...across the street from beach and in walking distance of everything. I stay in four in five star hotels most of the time and I am being honest when saying that the Cavaliers staff were the best i have ever come across. They were so helpful, friendly and went above and beyond. I can not recommend this hotel enough. I would definitely return without a doubt. more

I stayed 4 nights and absolutely had a great stay. After reading some other postings I approached the hotel with trepidadion. But after 10 minutes I knew I had made the right decision. This hotel is very clean, very friendly and a great value. I realize that 99% of satisfied customers never write a posting and that 99% of dissatisfied customerrs do. So I can now write a review that tells you how I saw it. It wa a great stay. The food was excellent. Hey all of Miami Beach adds the waters tip on the bill. they have to. I asked my water about this and he explained that over half the customerrs are from Europe. In Europe no one tips because the tip is pasrt of the bill. so in order to get a tip it has to be automatically included in the bill. It made perfect sense to me because I have traveled to Europe and seen this firwst hand. I can see were some rednicks that have never gone overseas might complain about this. Read the fine print the tip can be adjusted by the water just ask him to do so. The rooms were bigger than I expected, andn we had 2 queen size beds. It was great because there were 4 of us. Everywhere else we checked the max allowed was 2 and most places had 2 double beds not 2 queens. So this was a big plus for us. again the place was very clean and they gave us new sheets and towels every day. That was more than what we needed. The staff was very friendly. The food was better tan average yet the price of the food was very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel to all of you. more

Excellent stay. Nice Staff. Stayed in the hotel from Thursday to Sunday. The room was clean, no problems. Shpwer pressure adn drainage fine. I have been in miami on and off for almost 30 years. I have had to get last minute hotels that you could call ""roach motel"" miami does have a problem BUT not at the Cavalier. I think other visitors need to go to the The Shore Club to service their needy personalities. The hotel is in a prime south beach location. You can j-walk to the beach. Restaurants are everywhere. Have a great time more

Well... the hotel REALLY hooked me up! The desk person asked if I would like to be upgrade and did it for me at no charge. They are so friendly... everynight I was asked if I wanted reservations for dinner and even put me on VIP lists at all the hotspots. more

The Staff was very friendly the rooms were Great I stayed in room 305 and although my view was of another building next to us it was a good room. The AC was cold at first but then we discovered we could adjust it to the temperature we wanted and after that we enjoyed our 4 day stay. The restuarant has out of this world food and just like the rate at the hotel for the room, the cost of the food was also the most affordable on Ocean Drive. THe waitress was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel. It is an art deco historical hotel. we found out that it was built in 1936. The rooms were very clean the staff friendly. We did not exoperience any problems and at night we never heard anyone else. So if you are looking for an affordable hotel room this is the place. Plus the food and drinks are great. Yes we will stay here again - By the way the beach is right across the street and almost half the girls were topless. This is the only part my girlfriend did not like. I loved it though. Oh Yes I forgot the wine is on specila 10 dls off any bottle on Monday to Wed. Great deal since they hasd great wines priced from 22 dollars and up we ended up paying 17 dollars for a great Pinot Noir from California. I have seen this bottle for sale at Publix for 12 dollars. So that was a great deal. more

Friendly, family owned, location, location, location!!!! I stayed at the Cavalier with a group of 6 ladies. We had a blast! The hotel always has someone on staff, which gave us a secure feeling coming in late at night. The Cavalier is located right on the beach on Ocean Drive, and has one of the most historically photographed facades, absolutely stunning! Steps away from the Versace Mansion, shopping, and literally a 5$ cab ride from pretty much anything you would want to see in South Beach. The staff knows the area well and is so friendly. What better way to find out the local hot spots, than the people who live there? The food was amazing! I have never eaten so many raw oysters in my life. Local fresh food, and a huge selection, with something for everyone. The rooms had huge closets, perfect for the dresses, shoes, and accessories that accompany 7 women! The sheets were comfortable and clean, I do not know how the staff removed all of the sand everyday, but every afternoon we came home to a spotless room! more

The cavalier is a small but cute hotel, that is close to everything that i was looking for during my stay, like the Versace Mansion, Mangos Cafe, the Beach is right across and the Lincoln Road and the shopping centers were walking distance, I loved it and will stay there again, when i go again!!!! Thanks Cavalier for such a memorable time!!!! more

The location of the hotel can't be better. The beach is crossing the street, the nighlife is walking distance and plenty of restaurants everywhere. I will recommend it to everybody. more

I had a very pleasant stay. The hotels is centrally located and you can walk around and enjoy the scenary. It was wonderful that the hotel is right across the street from the beach. It was also cool that the hotel had a restaraunt on site. The drinks were phenomenal. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The maid was also very friendly and made the beds so tight you can bounce a quarter off of them. I would stay there again. more

My wife and I stayed here for one night after our Cruise before returning home. Before the cruise we stayed at another hotel on Ocean Drive, and it was fine. We were happy with it. however, we really enjoyed the Cavalier. It's not the best of the best, but it's way above the worst of the hotels in the area. Also, the free drink that you get upon check-in... they give you a ticket to give to the bar and basically you can get one free drink of your choice. And even better, South Beach has no open container laws, so you can walk along the streets with your beverage of choice in your hand. :) For the cost of one night here, we will definitely be staying at the Cavalier every time we come and stay in South Beach. more

for the location the price the size of room cleanliness and the free wifi and great drink prices hotel cavalier is the only hotel to stay at when visiting south beach. more

My experience with the Cavalier was a pleasant one. I mean, seriously, you're on South Beach...all you really need is a bed and a shower! However, the Cavalier offers a bit more. The staff was friendly and inviting, and the location cannot be beat. Solid choice for a tight hotel budget. I would stay here again. more
