Admittedly, I haven't been to every golf course in the state of Washington, but this one takes the cake! My back yard, which I haven't mowed since last spring, looks better than t...

Cow pasture golf at its finest. 6/12/2011

Cow pasture golf at its finest. Played this past weekend...................Big mistake. Course is up for sale so they have cut back on a few things like lawn mowing and weed killer. The fairways were about 20 yards wide and the grass was 2 inches tall. After that the first rough was about 15 yards wide but 10 to 12 inches tall! and then the 2nd rough was over three feet high. If you missed the fairway your ball was history. Trouble is if you stayed on the fairway your ball was easily lost in a field of little white flowers that were blooming everywhere. Not much money being spent here in maintenance. The greens were in beautiful shape..................go figure. This course floods every year and it shows. it used to be one of the nicest courses in the valley but it is now in a terrible state of disrepair. Even the sign at the entrance announcing Carnation Golf Course is covered in grass over three feet tall. I wonder how many people have driven by the course because they couldn't see the sign? We showed up in time for twilight rates $15 for 18 holes which is a bargain but we left after only 9 holes and went to Twin Rivers to go hit a bucket of balls instead. 25 years ago I learned to golf on this course and it was such a gem. As I drove away yesterday and saw the grass covered sign in my rear view mirror I was saddened to realize my little gem is now just a piece of coal. more

Weeds, mud, and more weeds 5/11/2011

Very slow greens, fairways look like a cow field, and extremely bad maintenance. Horrible service as well. more

Fun and Friendly! 3/17/2011

This golf course is one of a kind; a very special place in every way. Laying on the floor of the Snoqualmie Valley it's got the relaxing country feel and the hospitality to go along with it. Best example of ""service with a smile"" I've seen in a while. The course itself is a lot of fun- can be challenging but definitely a good 18 holes. It's a naturally manicured course and the views and wildlife were surely impressive. more

great fun in the valley 4/9/2010

If your looking for a wholy enjoyable round then this is the place for you, from the hackers who are out to have fun with some friends to the avid golfer looking to callenge themselves this course is a boatload of fun at a great price...for being completely underwater for a good part of a year the management has done a great job rebuilding the course. The placement of the trees, the break in the greens, and the way the course was built around the river will penalize poorly placed tee-shots and create a chllenging round.Granted its not in tournament quality shape, or the hardest course out there, but with the price ($1 a hole) and the family atmosphere its hard to beat...ive paid 3x as much to play on manicured fairways, and be treated like crap at other places nearby. So put your comfy jeans on grab some beer and go have some fun for a change! Pros: great family run course Cons: tad muddy at times more

Cow Farm for Golfers 9/23/2006

Admittedly, I haven't been to every golf course in the state of Washington, but this one takes the cake! My back yard, which I haven't mowed since last spring, looks better than the fairways at this course. Weeds, weeds, bumpy fairways. The staff was pleasant; but play was excruciatingly slow one day and there wasn't a marshall within 5 miles. I will never play this course again unless the other courses are under 8 feet of water. Pros: Nice drive out to the course Cons: Overpriced; no maintanance of the fairways; too many weeds more

Party Golf!!!!! 6/27/2002

Put a few cases of Schmidt's sport packs on ice and start hacking!!! This is party golf central. The course is average to poor. The rough at most courses is better than there fairways. 1-2 holes are entertaining. This course fills a perfect niche for beginning golfers and those that are out to tip a few brewskies rather than play serious golf more
