My favorite Salt Lake furniture store 8/25/2008

I always go to Campo first when I'm looking for furniture-- they have a style that can fit in a wide range of looks- from contemporary/modern to more rustic and warm. I've found most of the staff to be very helpful-- offering to store my stuff for weeks until I can pick it up and giving me great discounts when I buy more than one thing. All of the pieces that I have bought there for my home and office have stood the test of time for durability and quality. I always recommend Campo to anyone who is looking for unique furniture with some 'soul'. Pros: Great displays, helpful staff, good style, a great variety- and sometimes you can find great deals. Cons: Can be overpriced. more

Wasn't Impressed. 11/22/2006

I was in this store a few weeks ago. I was treated like i wasn't good enough to be in the store. I was followed at a distance as if i was going to stick a piece of large furniture under my shirt and walk out or something. When i asked a question I was snubed as if i was ruining the persons day by making them work. I am not sure on the quality of furniture they may have really nice things but after the cutomer service i recieved I was done shopping there. When i left i actually found a really nice store that was very helpful and they will get my vote. Cons: Not Helpful more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Campo mimics a hacienda--maze-like with dim yet spacious rooms, each painted a different color, from deep red to sandy yellow. As for the merchandise, it's all refreshingly rustic without that contemporary, block-ish look. Customers can count on a perpetually wide selection of dark woods, wrought-iron and clay pottery. Items are imported from India, Asia, South America and, of course, Mexico.

    The Goods

Exceptionally heavy pieces of furniture--armoires, sofas, mirrors, tables and chairs. Several rooms are dedicated to pottery, while others display accessories like pillows, lamps and rugs. Everything is or looks handmade.
