What a nightmare!! 5/6/2013

What a nightmare dealing with this place!! I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy! To start, Lance in the sales dept was condescending and made snide comments bc we were shopping on a budget. When we found the RV we wanted we asked to go through someone else, and got Joe P. He was actually quite pleasant and professional, however he misinformed us on how long it would take for the repairs done. We were told no longer then a week, then found out 2 weeks later it would be another 5-6 weeks. Then it took a week longer than we were told to get our deposit back. The whole thing has delayed us leaving over a month! Talk about getting the run around! We are first time RV shoppers and this whole thing almost discouraged us from pursuing our dream to see the country. Luckily we found much better service at some of the hole in the wall places on 125 in Kingston and Rochester. It seems as if most of those places don't do commission-based sales...which means no pressure and significantly better more

let down twice 4/7/2013

Went there twice same results both times.Wife and i stopped in aug.2010 after dinner one eve looking to buy class A motorhome salesman on duty could not be botherd to show us any thing because they were all locked up,swore i would never come back.we have purchased a34' class A elseware.fastfoward to4/6/13 campers inn open house, lets give them another try own current rv outright looking to upgrade like the allegro.went to open house asked if any class A's were open was told no and that was it wasn't even asked what we would like to see,so we left again will never return.the next time flagg rv or camping world have an open house, suggest they send there staff to see how it's done. more

Great Place to buy a Camper 1/23/2013

I recently bought a travel trailer from Campers Inn. While I wasn't too thrilled with the sales department staff at first, I warmed up to them after about an hour. I realized that they really just wanted to know what I wanted in order to make sure they were only showing me the campers that I would like. \r \r After the sale, the service department took great care of me. It was obvious that both the sales and service departments were talking since the service department took care of the issues I mentioned to my salesperson. I would definitely recommend Campers Inn to my friends. more

Happy about Campers Inn 1/12/2013

Great selection of RVs and good service. Couldn't be happier with my experience. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/11/2013

Great service and sales. I really enjoyed working with Dave the sales manager. He led me through the whole process and made sure that the service department took care of us. I will certainly shop there again. more

No Service!! 8/23/2011

I have bought 3 trailers from Campers Inn of Kingston and my current RV from Merrimack. I will never buy from any Campers Inn again. The sales department is not bad, there is NO caring or quality on the service side. You will wait weeks for your unit any time you bring it in. My current issue I have been fighting since April of this year for a total of about 6 weeks it's been there and issue is still not resolved but are using it anyway. My advise would be to stay away from them. If you do purchase DO NOT for any reason have it serviced there!! more

Questionable Service 9/29/2010

Reading the comments on Campers Inn I gather people are satisfied with the sales side of RVs. However, when it comes to servicing an RV, I'm finding the service department ranks very poor. I've read of numerous complaints about very long repair times and incomplete repairs causing multiple return trips. I?ve even heard of an instance where an RV has gone in for repair and state inspection, then passing the inspection but the repair (a broken directional signal) was not corrected. I?d seriously reconsider a purchase at Campers Inn if the service is really that bad. more

Great place to buy a RV 12/25/2009

I have bought a motorhome recently from Campers Inn as well. No problems at all. I have also done business with them in the past. I felt like every employee of Campers Inn helped the best they could. The management is very open to concerns as well. I would hope that you would speak to customer service, management or the owner of any service-oriented business before complaining about them on the internet. However, I have been around RVs for quite a while. Getting a lemon has a lot more to do with the manufacturer than the dealership. If you got a lemon then don't buy that brand again. It is like buying a car or a house. I bought in a community of DR Horton homes and most were built very well. But one in the neighborhood were terrible. Same goes with cars. On a non-sales note. I have also listed my rv for consignment with Camper Inn. They were honest about the probable selling price and also warned that the market has been slow recently (economy and season.) I have nev more

We had a great experience at Camper's Inn 8/3/2009

We had a great experience at Camper's Inn. We found the sales staff to be friendly and attentive. Dale Dubois has worked there for many years and he felt like a fast friend....not in a yucky sales dude kind of way. We felt we got a fair price both for our purchase and our trade in. Warren, the young man who oriented us to our new camper was very patient and knowledgeable. He seemed very interested in our questions and spent more time with us than he probably needed too without appearing as exasperated as we probably made him. Dennis delivered our camper to our site and made sure everything was in perfect working order and that we felt comfortable with everything before towing away our trade-in. We love our new camper. I can't come up with a complaint about our experience and would recommend Campers Inn without hesitation to friend or family member. more

I Bought A LEMON TOO!! 4/18/2009

I had trouble with it my RV since I bought, 1st time out the plug was following out of the brake line. circuit breaker went, AC, water pump went, radio went, the roof leaked and I ended up mold all over the place, and more all with in a year and a half. They treat their customers horribly and I would never do business with them again! more

Not Impressed 2/28/2009

My wife and I went to Camper's Inn to consider renting then perhaps buying a camper. The woman in the rental department was very nice, however the sales people were extremely rude. My sister had bought a camper from this place and warned me but I just wanted to see for myself. more

TOTAL LEMON 10/3/2007

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START. WE BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2006 WINN. JOURNEY, ONE WEEK AFTER HAVING IT WE WANTED TO RETURN IT. ALL THE WHEELS WERE BENT, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, THE HEAD LIGHTS WERE OUT OF ALIGNMENT, AND IT WOULDN'T HOLD A CHARGE. IDLE WARNINGS SHOW UP ON THE DASH AND IT POWER SURGES. IT TOOK ALL 6 TIRES AND RIMS TO BE REPLACED AFTER THEY SAID IT NEEDED TO BE ALLIAGNED, TWICE 5 BATTERIES WERE REPLACED BEFORE THEY FIGURED THAT PROBLEM OUT. IT ONLY TOOK A YEAR TO TELL US THE HEAD LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS BROKEN. THEN THE SMELL, IT WAS SO SICKENING, THREE TIMES BACK AND FOURTH, AND WE WERE TOLD IT WAS FIXED. ONLY TO FIND OUT THE TANK HAD COLASPED FROM THE TOP. THE MOTOR HOME HAD TO BE TAKEN APART SO THEY COULD PUT IN A NEW TANK. THE SLIDER BROKE, A FACTORY DEFECT, SO THEY WELDED IT, JUST WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO TO A NEW MOTOR HOME, AND NOW SOMETIMES IT STAYS OUT AND SOMETIMES IT COMES IN FASTER THAN IT WENT OUT. WATCH OUT, IT WILL CRUSH YOU, IF YOUR IN THE WAY. THEN THE WATER more
