Great hotel on St. Charles Avenue 8/20/2005

A long-standing New Orleans institution, with the charm of its history. Lovely view of St. Charles Avenue from window-lined dining room, wood-lined meeting room, comfortable bedrooms, dependable cafe (serving one old favorite: mile-high pie). The rooms are somewhat expensive, although not as much as many other hotels in downtown New Orleans. more

Cheap 8/17/2005

This hotel is cheap, only $60 per night. But you might be able to find a cheaper three star hotel in New Orleans. The hotel is located in a good location. The staff is pleasant and helpful. I liked the restaurant, it served some good food. Rooms were small though and not too comfortable. more
