while the price may be great and the food tasty, the last 2 times I ate there, I got food poisoning. I wouldn't recommend ordering any beef dishes. more

Authentic 2/11/2009

One of the only authentic HKG cafe style and family style restaurant on the east side. Down side is they only take cash. My favorite dishes are 1) Curry Beef 2) Salty fish with Chicken 3) Beef Noodle Soup or 4) Black Pepper Beef over Rice. Top all that off is a cold glass of Hong Kong Style Milk Tea. This is it everyone, if you want authentic Chinese, go check them out. I've seen Chinese people getting take out day in day out from here - never seem to get tired of it. Should say something right? more

Chinese food rules 3/16/2007

If you're looking for yummy, then you got it. If you're looking for oily, you got it too. Although many dishes are authentic tasting Chinese stir fry dishes, the chefs sure don't skimp on the oil! Ask for veggie varieties or light dishes if you're trying to go a bit bealthier! more

Best Chinese Food on the East Side 11/27/2006

My friends call me the "Caucasian Asian" as I am always up for anything requiring chopsticks. Cafe Ori has got to be the best Chinese food on the East Side. The restaurant is always busy & filled with a largely Asian population, which is always a good sign. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. The portions are huge so come hungry or share dishes. The only "downside" is that they don't take cards, but you just need to remember to have enough cash with you. (There aren't any ATMs in the plaza either). more

This is my favorite chinese restaurant and I'm a china dining harlot. Selection is more exotic to more friendly california rolls and such. Whatever you want. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is a friendly, family type one. The only thing that is questionable is the the decoration not that it is bad or anything. It is just average compared with the overall experience. more

Excellent place for good, inexpensive food. 9/16/2005

This place is frequented by many Chinese people originally from Toronto, Hong Kong, and China, as the atmosphere matches that of a family run Chinese restaurant, as it generally accepts only cash, and isn’t decorated too nicely. The food, however, it quite good for Bellevue, and combined with its variety of foods, makes for an excellent daily stop. more

best chinese food 8/10/2005

You know you're in a good chinese restaurant when you see the restaurant filled with chinese patrons. The menu is huge, yet food is ready in 15 minutes. I once ordered enough food for 15 people and it was still ready in 15 minutes. The dishes are flavorful and the portions are large. Makes me miss mom's cooking. Great food at great prices. What more can you ask for? more

my husband go to this place for lunch almost all the time. to me, this place is ok, not bad, but not my top chinese food choice, the price is definitely good and the quantity is big, nothing fancy, kinda of like home style cooking. It's a good place to go if you are looking for inexpensive decent chinese food. more

Café Ori is like a Chinese-style teahouse in Bellevue. I heard about it from my co-worker from Taiwan who really likes it. They have a huge variety of foods – with big portions and very reasonable prices. I always have a hard time picking one. It might be a good place to come with a group where you can order a few different things to share. Sometimes they have parties with a doll that shakes pearl tea for you! more
