Butzirus Storage Facilities

Butzirus does not have good customer service. Buyer beware!! Would not rent storage space from them. They do not follow up, except to collect money from you!! Otherwise if you need something you never hear from them. I would not recommend them to anyone. more

The WORST!!! This company is full of shady and immoral acts. They are impossible to deal with and refuse to fix anything wrong with their rentals. They are lacking any kind of human decency and have no desire to make their clients happy with their homes. The overall condition of the properties is less than livable and they don't care at all about complaints made from tenants. Definitely not recommended at all. STAY away! more

The worst! Impossible to reach by phone for repairs and maintenance and, once I moved out, they ignored my requests to return my security for 5 MONTHS. It took 3 registered letters and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to get them to respond. In 20 years of renting, I had never had a worse landlord or a worse rental experience. more

Butzirus Rental properties was overall pretty decent and treated me well. I really enjoyed my apartment and my experiences overall were good. If there was a maintenance emergency/serious issue, the Butzirus' would fix it right away. I liked Nick; he has a good sense of humor and was always really easy to talk to. He was always very good at replying to my emails. I don't have any major complaints. What can I say, the apartment rent was really affordable (price couldn't be beat really, for what you get), the location was great neighbors/great neighborhood, and the apartment was really very lovely. more

DO NOT rent from Butzirus. My daughter rented an apartment from Nick Butzirus and had nothing but negative experiences. He would take days to return phone calls (and only after repeated attempts to reach him) and would not show up when scheduled to make repairs.They were never available in the office. Water from an upper apartment damaged the stairs to her second-story apartment, causing the stairs to pull away from the wall. It took WEEKS, multiple phone calls, and eventually threat of legal action to get the stairs repaired. It was also dangerous because the light on the landing was out for months. The gas stove was ancient (at least 40 years old - no exaggeration) and had to be lit by hand. I was concerned about safety and asked for an updated stove. Nick Butzirus assured me he would replace it when he could, implying that it would be soon because these old stoves were ""highly desirable"" (seriously??), and he would move it out and a newer one into the apartment - never happened. It was next to impossible to light, so my daughter was effectively without an oven for more than a year. The lock on the egress entrance (directly into the bathroom) was an interior door handle with the kind of lock that you push the handle and turn to lock. Hardly safe, especially for a young woman living alone. I had to insist that a deadbolt be installed. Again, it took multiple phone calls and a certified letter before that was done. Like another reviewer, my daughter experienced outrageous power bills. Her natural gas bill for an efficiency apartment (maybe 300 - 350 square feet) was more than the gas bill for our 1,700 square foot house. We are still awaiting the return of the security deposit almost six months after the lease ended. We were told a ludicrous story that the check was mailed to the apartment with forwarding requested; however, my daughter left a forwarding address with the office when she moved out. We completed everything on the checklist so expect the full amount returned to us. If not, we will be taking legal action against Butzirus. I have rented from numerous landlords in the past and have had positive and less than positive experiences. However, none have been as bad as this experience with Butzirus. My son rented an apartment from this business, and had nothing but trouble from them. They were unresponsive when he had exhorbitant heating bills, and since he was not the property owner, the gas company could not even check out the property to see what the problem was. So after a winter of putting the gas bills on the credit card, because he couldn't possibly pay for it, he moved out (last summer). Butzirus STILL has not paid back the safety deposit, and has not responded to attempts through better business bureau. I would avoid Butzirus Rental Properites at all possible costs. The landlords are very unresponsive to any complaints or problems, and are outright rude or threatening in their demeanor. Along with some very shady practices, and poor conditions of some of their rental places I would definately not be inclined to trust anything from this company. Pros: Nothing, only problems with company. Cons: Everything, one of the worst places. more
